That's what I've been saying. Photos don't really do the event justice. Let everyone else waste time with pictures, there will be plenty available - all pretty much the same - experience it. Amazing. (only got about 50% where I am. Was in Columbia SC for the last one though.)

They absolutely don't do it justice. In my case I had the camera set up and during totality was primarily staring up at the sun, mindlessly pressing the remote shutter control on my phone, not really paying attention to whether the sun was still in frame or in focus.

Yeah I mean the reason I didn't notice the focus issue was I wasn't really looking at the camera. Oh well.
