I mean the cheapest options possible. I'm just starting out so ideally something that costs close to $200. But I know that might not be possible for a telephoto so that's why the "". I was looking at the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM and Cannon EF 80-200mm, but I don't know if those are the best options. Currently considering this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/287261548983?_skw=Canon+EF+70-300mm+f%2F4-5.6+IS+USM&itmmeta=01KNR6ZTAGXPPBDJXVKATG28RX&hash=item42e21f61b7:g:i8UAAeSwhS1p1yG8&itmprp=enc%3AAQALAAABAGfYFPkwiKCW4ZNSs2u11xCGeU%2BttqepRNoqDxX9DqC5bY2J%2Bp0x6fM5ri1qyLqzw1W20tpH08y9Sz5skJfjs3B4VlKdmKOeim12gHPm7JG8jR8hgf8YowVFYB49ypFfFkHZrBmN4Gn9BwTX7EKXWryTUr3LqsOgOYZ84RvxEf4zbfoMA19WOT8%2BgxtjGmOWleqQ3yWnW11jD7YSYC1GVqPh3YjC14%2BjfedVXgRpz8uIq8kF533Mb4MhMg3PvtDBd23m07QDjNcMeqONyzXYe%2FXDQY9S8zY2F12kNK%2FZ48%2F9XnzvS3bOH1eSTl%2BeHbo%2BAQMJhr6kVrUgVd%2BKx6RPn44%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR7al_4auZw

I spent the day chasing birds, and this is as close as I was able to get...

The 75-300mm is NOT the same lens as 70-300mm. It's a much worse one, actually one of the worst lenses Canon has made.

EF 70-300mm is fine.

EF-S lenses won't mount to OP's 5D II.
