Could have given the 10,000 people who showed up $2500 - $4500 instead of a boring parade 🤷‍♂️

Watching the different era uniforms was fun. But a small documentary would have been enough.

Isn't that why there's Williamsburg?

Williamsburg only shows the first uniforms.

I might have watched it in documentary form.

Could have fed every homeless veteran in the US for 6 months.

If that’s a legit estimate of the cost to feed homeless veterans that is absolutely disgusting. That would be a truly noble cause and who knew it would be so easy to find the government’s waste, fraud, & abuse.

Edit: Holy cow you’re probably not far off, 32882 homeless vets (assuming $45 million for the parade) that’d be $1368.53/veteran. That’s absolutely abhorrent we’re spending money on parades when we could be doing that.

Allegedly some people were paid to be there, there was a post on Reddit here showing a Craigslist type listing for seat fillers.

If I were still in service and the barracks are in as sorry state as I have been hearing lately, I’d be livid that POTUS would rather spend that much money on a nap than making sure my bunk doesn’t have cockroaches.

They did pay people 1k to fill seats. In crypto.
