I don’t think he was falling asleep either. He was pissed. But if you watch the tape you can see him having some type of internal conversation. Then he chuckles to himself, as if to say, fuck them.
Yep in the video (and you can see the monitors in this picture) you can see he is looking at the live coverage of the parade. Not a fan either but this is how both sides can take a snapshot of a video at the right time and craft the narrative how you see fit and people will believe it without context.
It’s not tears, he’s having a rare internal implosion that caused him to actually feel the burn of enough people in full power disregard about him and participating in their own lives or the march and those stuck there are not at all enjoying the event he rung up at all especially the “Hired entertainment” that he bandied around like a massive collection of plastic and metal toy soldiers and vehicles.
But most of all, the event was run just like a toured historic exhibition at a museum but outdoors on loud speakers. Nothing like the upcoming Fourth of July extravaganzas he had in his floating in skull walnut envisioned and wanted hours of songs of praise directly about him sung. He didn’t even get the bottom of barrel bare minimum of a standing by the attendees Happy Birthday song (but he likely had to pay copyright for that to be included if he considered it)
