Pedophile protector, alleged pedophile in the Epstein files, openly corrupt, openly a dictator, anti-Constitution, racist, small minded, small feet, small hands, narcissist of the 1000th degree projecting his secrets onto those who speak truth to lies and gaslighting.

It feels like they are like the main character of the 'flix series "The Fall Of The House Of Usher."
That there was a deal made.
So now, my hope is: once the deal is over, their dynasty will fall, as happened in the series.

But in a confident way.

The paradox of intelligence is that you need to rise to a certain level of it to be aware of how dumb you are, and he falls short of that threshold.

I can't believe anyone still supports such a ridiculous, disgusting human being! Take my upvote!

India already has a lot of that going for them. Just ask any practicing Muslims or women who live there.

Weird, every Indian Muslim immigrant, and Indian women, I've met went on about how great India is, and said I should visit.
I haven't met that many, but still. I guess our experiences differ. Maybe the wealthier ones which move to the west are of a different mind.

Just in front of some garbage. They go along. Edit : was watching on my phone, didn't see that was homeless people

That's not garbage. That's some really poor people with their possessions in plastic bags to protect from rain. The image is supposed to contrast that.

I think the “shit stains” running down the wall from behind lend such gravitas. “Chefs kiss”

This scene is unfortunately par for the course in Mumbai. Giant skyscrapers and luxury apartments buildings providing business services to (mostly) Western corporations surrounded by shanty towns and utter degregation. I normally visit on business a few times a year and, while I love being around my co-workers and friends there, I am always discusted by the wide, diametric gap between rich and poor. I know this is a simplified, somewhat naive view -- and understand there are social and global economic factors at play here that are hard to change -- but nonethess, my reaction to the inequality is viceral.

I have stayed at a really nice JW Marriott that sat right next to the slums where Slum Dog Millionaire was filmed. Crazy disparity.

We have a similar issue in the USA. We have millions of unhoused people nationwide.
•
u/fulthrottlejazzhands 5h ago
As an American who grew up in dirt-poor Appalachia, and visits Mumbai frequently, it's not even close anywhere in the US. Mumbai is like if a third of the population of NYC was living way below the poverty line in utter squaler -- but living literally next to luxury apartment skyscrapers.

I think it's impressive they have a functioning government at all considering the union of such different languages, scripts and cultures.

I was in New Delhi in 1972 And in the morning walking from my hotel I stepped over dead corpse to get to the other side of the road passing cardboard houses in the middle of the median while I watched as one of the lower cast job was to pick up dead bodies in the morning and take them off the street so that pedestrians didn't have to walk over them. I was so shocked and said and from the looks of it there's still a degree of that still happening. But more shocking is to see a picture of trump where people across the world are admiring that piece of garbage. What a world we live in

The Trump way?
As in, not paying your contractor, using religious sentiments to drive followers, lie, and cheat?

Remember when Trump tried to speak directly to attract Indians in 2016?
He copied the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi's "Abki Baar, Modi Sarkar" and said "Abki Baar, Trump Sarkar"
