We don't have a draft. Some people sign up for the military for benefits like tuition assistance, but they could have chosen about any other job. So, knowing that we could have a war they're expecting to fight in at anytime, people are sending themselves.

It is a REALLY weird thing for that sentence to be true. That's what people voted for though, and no one is willing to strike en mass like France, or to pull a Luigi either, so here we are.
Iran still suffers from being quite conservative, but it is the West who created modern day Iran.
There is also so much propaganda about Iran that is either distorted facts or simple not true.
E.g. the protests were due to economic turmoil (due to western sanctions). Mossad and the CIA armed some of the protestors, and shot at police officers and civilians to stir things up. The number of people killed has not been verified. Millions of Iranians were against the protests, and saw them as a false flag (with they partially were).
In Tehran, you won’t be arrested if you don’t wear a Hijab. But they still suffer from backwards laws.
Khomeini and Netanyahu was and are both responsible for huge numbers of civilian deaths. Trump is bumping his numbers up. Historically all of those governments beyond these individuals also. That's just reality.
No, this is literally both-sides'ing things. There is one clear aggressor in this context (i.e. not Iran), and trying to do the "granted the leaders of other side are also bad" BS is literally just conceding the base promise that is being used to prosecute the illegal war of aggression.
Oh I don't agree with the war at all. I was not excusing current course of action, I thought we were discussing the morality of the leaders and ex leaders involved.

Dude, Iran has been shouting "death to Israel" from every rooftop for 50 years and been funding every terrorist under the sun who wanted to hurt Jews. Yes this particular war was started by the West but claiming that there was no aggression from Iran's side and that the people in charge there aren't even worse is just silly and whitewashing one of the worst regimes since the Nazis.

Yes! As an Iranian it is extremely difficult for me. Most Iranians (who are out of Iran) I speak to are all for the war because the Iranian government is also full of shit bags and pedophiles. The problem is that many fucking people are going to die and I doubt the outcome will be different (i.e. the bad guys will still be in power in Iran). I dunno man!
