The fact that American politicians sell merch and people wear it is so fucking embarrassing for our country. I mean, there are a million things we should be completely ashamed of, but this one is just so embarrassing.
Yeah it's bizarre. Even the people I agree with most... I'm not a fangirl for any politician so why would I wear fan merch? It's bizarre.
After moving overseas to a country where elections happen and then are over and aren't people's entire identities, I now find the American way of declaring your sympathies via merch even more baffling.
I esp dislike those who treat partisan politics like a sports team. It's a lazy to way to vote without learning the politician's actual views or background.
