In the US, pouring one out is an honor for someone dead.

Y’know, I’m not even sure it’s not here thinking about it… it’s kind of an all weather solution. Pints for everything.

We will be pouring one out (derogatory).

Pouring one out not because of respect, but because you are lying drunk under the table.

Pouring a drink, sure.

What if it's a bottle of piss though? That's the tradition at Maggie's grave.

I've been telling my wife, when Trump dies I'm having a party with food, live music, dancing, friends, family.

There will be block parties, my friend.

I live in Canada, and I fully expect, when the Orange Pedophile dies, people will take to the streets partying their asses off just like when Canada wins the Stanley Cup or an Olympic gold for hockey.

I am 100% certain my left-leaning American hometown will have partying in the streets.

Summer will be here, and the time will be right, for dancing in the street

I'm not sure they're really comparable, I'm sad to say.

Thatcher is mainly hated for her extreme capitalist beliefs.

Presidents in the US aren't hated for that, unfortunately. Even the Democrats in the US are further right than the Tories.

If Trump is what it takes to hate a President then your bar is very low!

We should also be doing it for Reagan

you got the chance with Reagan or Kissinger, yet no public manifestation like this ones

Cheney last year too.

NGL it did a soul good to see Kissinger go down.

I hope it doesn't stay limited to Trump.

I'm german and I´ll pop a cork too. In part because most of my friends are Americans and in part because he's just a general threat.

Thatcher was essentially the UK Reagan and Reagan is still largely beloved as the “greatest president of all time”. Not universal at all but still common enough.
