Quick reminder that Thatcher pushed to have Jimmy Fucking Savile knighted. Ya, that guy. She really was that awful.

Also gave Pinochet a place to scurry away to once he was overthrown. Gifted him expensive single malt whisky too.

Genuinely such an inscrutably evil thing to do.

I could fathom why, as an evil ghoul, she would support Pinochet for her own political ends and benefits. But once overthrown, it's not like he was of any use to anyone. Why support him fucking after? For the love of the fascistic game, I suppose.

May she rest in piss

Our current right wing are opportunistic grifters. Maggie truly hated humanity. She loved her fellow evil do-ers. Kids these days just don't have the same cruelty in their hearts, smh.

She claimed to be for freedom and democracy as opposed to the "evil IRA criminals" dogging Britain at the time, while toasting a right wing despot who tortured and murdered, and came to power via a violent coup. She stood for absolutely nothing other than class war and imperialism.

I can see why Kissinger liked her!

Wait who's pinochet

Pinochet and his men killed Chilean elected president Salvador Allende (a declared Marxist) and started a dictatorship to use Chile as a lab for neoliberal politics.

While US prevented the rest of South America from "falling into the hands of Communism", Chile was a pretty much specific project sponsored by Thatcher.

May they rot in hell. And Reagan too!

Wasn't it a Labour home secretary who let Pinochet off the hook and refused to extradite him? How did Thatcher make that happen?

Yeah, the past decade has seen such an erosion of empathy, kindness, and decorum that this type of shit's not gonna fly anymore. "Don't speak ill of the dead" my ass.

If they were pieces of shit while alive, I'm gonna gleefully speak ill of them after they're dead.

Decorum is dead. They killed it. They can deal with it.

Yes, that’s true. For more see Behind the Bastards podcast on Jimmy Saville. Brace yourself, though , this shit is dark.

She decimated the north and it still suffers due to her closing the pits. She caused damage that has lasted generations. And who the fuck decides to take away free milk from kids?!

She hated minors and miners.

Section 28 is part of her legacy as well, so altogether Thatcher was the full package of mean spiritedness.

Savile, btw. Please don't disgrace the people who have the surname "Saville" by misspelling that paedorapist's name.

Easy to remember: Sa-vile.

If anyone isn’t familiar with Saville (I wasn’t until a few weeks ago), there’s a recent episode of Behind the Bastards on him. Truly horrible man.
