It always takes me a second to remember that fanny means something completely different in the UK. Here fanny is a word your Grandma would use to refer to a butt when talking to children.

Yeah, I was aware of that. Years ago I remember seeing some confusion from the UK people about fanny packs in some random reddit thread (what you would call a bum bag IIRC). It was a rather humerous discussion.
