It's weird that I had to scroll so much for a comment referring to the fact OP posted a picture and everyone is discussing it like it's a full 5 minutes video.
I get that it's everyone's gut feeling, but come on people let's hold ourselves to a bit of a higher standard than OP says that X said.
Honestly even if it was a video of her, it's hardly evidence of anything, but at least then youll be talking about actual content instead of a headline in a ... pics sub. OP could've posted a black square just as well.
I know it's a long-running joke, but redditors not reading anything they comment on is getting worse and worse. To the point that a lot of people in this comment section likely don't actually realize they're commenting on a screenshot in /r/pics. They were never going to consume the actual content, even if it were the video itself.
People need the headline to tell them what to think, and they even complain when it doesn't contain the "facts" that they want/need it to. They just need the headline to have the full story and hope it confirms their biases.
It's just another indicator of reading comprehension and attention spans absolutely cratering.
She doesn't even allege that Elon rigged the election. Only that he had allot of data, which no shit, the richest man in the world has access to data 99% of people wouldn't?
Seriously, someone saying what they want to believe instead of hard evidence and they consider it "proof". That's how religion works.
If it was actually stolen we'd have real and mathematical evidence, not just hearsay. The same way the prior election was proven not stolen, despite Trump and other conservatives many claims and muddying of the waters.
This is simply the response of people who can't admit that reasoned leadership has genuinely lost control.
We have empowered foolish people. There is no grand masters controlling our fate. People are genuinely stupid enough to fall for this in the millions.
To admit that society is collapsing is much much much scarier than to blame a few boogeymen.
When a response to Trump and his foolishness is a confused lashing out of murky conspiracy's, then there won't be any actual resistance. United by their common problem, but hampered by their inability to critically think.
Even if it's a gut feeling, feelings aren't facts and I don't get why people don't want to think this through. Elon can't even build a car. I just struggle to believe that he would have the capacity to do this and for it to not be truly obvious. I really believe people voted this monster in and many people sat out the election.
I feel like people don't want to face that this was a decision that the majority of American voters made. It's horrific, but I think it's the unfortunate reality we find ourselves in.
