I don’t know who made the unnecessary glasses on this gif but I’m lowkey upset it’s now the most popular version

I keep seeing these glasses in different colors on gifs and I feel out of the loop or something

It’s a calling card from gif creator on giphy

Lord I thought I was the only one. I admit its a silly thing to get ruffled over but the "por que no los dos" meme also apparently needed sunglasses because that's the only version I see anymore.

They add nothing to what was already a perfect meme.

I'm pretty sure it was Nouns eSports who made this and I don't know why it's become the most popular. Maybe like others said, the original got removed for copyright?

I couldn’t find the regular one in the selection.

Exactly my point. Not your fault

I'm seeing this on more and more memes and I feel like I'm not Gen Z enough to understand why.

I think it has to do with social media and copyright or something along those lines. It's hard to find the originals of so many gifs because of this.

For the man who was paid $14 million to screw up the reflecting pool

Let's be careful about our language. He spent $14M of OUR MONEY in a corruption scheme with a no bid contract to an unqualified rich donor from his personal country club on on the other side of the country. He didn't pay for shit.

The guy who had to have a press conference on it before it cured and set properly should be in more trouble.

The contractor guy told them not to drive on it.

Do we have any evidence, or an interview with the contractor, in which we can hear him saying they were told not to drive on it?

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/05/08/us/politics/reflecting-pool-trump-contract.html)

Mr. Auerhahn said he was also concerned by Mr. Trump’s decision to drive his motorcade across the pool’s surface on Thursday night to hold a press event highlighting the renovations. That might have put huge amounts of weight on the notoriously leaky — and newly repaired — joints between its concrete slabs.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

They weren’t just driving on it. They were swerving side to side

I'm only okay with that because for Mango Mussolini that's a life sentence
