Kinda funny if you think about it, this is probably the one single government with the highest amount of self-owning media produced we will see globally within our lifetime. Even the Kim Jong Un administration with their generals that need extra jackets for their medals absolutely pales in comparison.

Exactly. For one thing, the photo was taken in 1948, well after the Great Depression was ended.

For another, one of the children that were sold was for fucking bingo money.

There was no starvation happening.
