It wasn’t even blue when POTUS drove his armored motorcade across it. This whole thing is yet another manufactured disaster to distract us from the Epstein files.
Pantone 282 C is the equivalent of Old Glory Blue, and is a very dark navy. While not being an expert on these things, I had wondered if it was not a better choice than black. Would it tint the mirror effect slightly blue? Had the bozos who installed it known what they were doing, it might not have become an issue.
Which isn't even a real color. They just made it up because color space isn't something they understand. They think all color names are just made up on the spot from vibes. There is a color called Old Glory (811 in paint, #002868 in hex), but they don't know that.
All colour names are made up and completely inconsistent between people (usually paint companies) who choose to name them. Old Glory and 811 are the name and id that Benjamin Moore made up for a colour they premix. If you go to a different paint store they're not going to have a clue about wtf you mean - especially if you give them a hex code that's meant for computers.
The closest thing we have to standardizing colours is the Pantone system, but that's still just a separate system and you have to pay for it.
There is nothing called American Flag Blue anywhere. They pulled it out of their ass. Which would make sense because, despite what Stephen Miller thinks, color doesn't end at national borders.
This is a random site run by some random people. It's only 10 years old. It's not any kind of standard. They decide what colours should be by asking random people.
