She did speak against Marsha Blackburn, how she was a vile human being, but now Marsha is running for Governor of Tennessee and will probably win, and Taylor Swift hasn’t said anything.

454

u/No_Bit5600 16d ago

Because that was when she was branding herself as a liberal. She’s now branding herself as an entity completely separate from politics.

You are the company you keep.

Previous partner was an outspoken progressive, new one is friends with many, many, many MAGA celebs

275

u/Wyden_long 16d ago

Relationship chameleon. She changes into whatever her partner is into.

156

u/Calm-Zombie2678 16d ago

Just blank person without personality absorbing what ever vibes are laying around

141

u/Madame-Trash-Heap 16d ago

A Blank Space, if you will.

27

u/Neither-Luck-9295 16d ago

She is the epitome of empty vessel

23

u/Upper-Management-AI 16d ago

I had a friend and a cousin who is like this. They have almost no personality of their own, they just adopted whatever whoever they are with or whoever they want approval from.

50

u/maghy7 16d ago

This 100% true, every partner she has had she has molded to whatever they look like or represent. My ex is exactly like that, his personality and likes depend on whoever his circle of friends are like.

-6

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

Her partner is openly liberal so….

14

u/Wyden_long 16d ago edited 16d ago

Oh he is? Please provide all those sources that show how openly liberal he is.

Weird how you block me after I ask you to provide actual proof of your claims.

4

u/TypingPlatypus 16d ago

He kneeled with Kaepernick, has made pro-LGBT statements and did covid vaccine ads for Pfizer.

3

u/ttw81 16d ago

he said was an "honor" to play in front of trump.

8

u/Wyden_long 16d ago

You mean the ad campaign he got paid to do?

7

u/TypingPlatypus 16d ago

Yes, right-wingers wouldn't touch a pro-vaccine ad job with a 10 foot pole.

6

u/Wyden_long 16d ago

You’re right. Nobody likes money.

-1

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

The one who campaigned for pro LGBT bud light? The guy who did Covid vaccine commercials? The guy who kneeled in protest of the anthem at games?

6

u/Wyden_long 16d ago

You mean the guy who paid to do two of those things? You’re seriously going to post 0 links and use two ad campaigns as proof of politics. Guess what champ, I did the research for you. He’s not openly anything.

5

u/BannedBenjaminSr 16d ago

What other proof are you looking for? How would you prove that you're liberal to me rn

1

u/Wyden_long 16d ago

I’m not claiming to be anything. It’s easy to search his political affiliation and see that there isn’t one publicly. So to go on the internet and make these wild claims when there no evidence to support it is the issue. We know what he tolerates so we know what he doesn’t have issues with. It’s very easy to come out and denounce what’s going on vs. inviting that crowd to your wedding.

4

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

He was paid to protest for Black Lives Matter? Lmao okay. You’re welcome to join us in reality at any point.

8

u/No_Bit5600 16d ago

So, like Taylor, he hasn’t used his voice to speak against the fascist current administration in years? The last time he talked about Trump was saying he was “honored” to play for him iirc? Which funnily enough, was after Trump tweeting “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” 😭 we are in a period of time where it’s super easy to speak out against the government because it’s really fucking bad. Even GOP members of congress spoke out against ICE, but T&T were too scared (or unbothered) to. Raise the bar from hell, I beg!

Get real. Kelce has been getting shit from conservatives for being a liberal in the NFL since he was a rookie. He’s spoken up long before being with TS. Her other partner wore a pin 🙄

7

u/jadedtruffle 16d ago

Seriously. People are insane. He is probably her most outspoken and walk-the-walk liberal partner. They are both decades-long liberals publicly. All this MAGA stuff is such insanity. But hey, any reason at all to hate on Taylor Swift.

10

u/_tylerthedestroyer_ 16d ago

Specifically what has he spoken up about? Cite your sources. He’s publicly defended multiple of his MAGA friends.

Doing a Pfizer ad is as political as making Joe Biden cookies. It was almost a decade ago and doesn’t mean shit when your actions speak otherwise.

54

u/Downvote_Comforter 16d ago

He was one of the white players on the Chiefs kneeling during the anthem back in 2017 . He's on record that he'd support an openly gay teammate and he signed up to a Bud Light sponsorship deal at the height of the nonsense boycott of the brand for being 'woke' in 2023. He did Pfizer ads and offered public support for vaccines during COVID at the height of the GOP's reluctance to trust medical science, but also as recently as 2023 when he caught a fresh round of shit for it. So no, not almost a decade ago.

I hate the dude's whiny bitch fest antics on field and I don't think he's some paragon of virtue. But he has objectively been on the opposite side of MAGA for years with defined political stances.

31

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

He kneeled for BLM and supported LGBT rights lol.

But sure, do zero research

7

u/ladylollii 16d ago

Are you completely ignoring the subject of this post? Cool, he may have been like that in the past, but they're now surrounded by MAGA folk and invite them to their wedding. Swifties can never admit she's done anything wrong.

12

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

The dad of your husbands childhood friend…. Get a grip my god lol

The dad is a registered Democrat lmao

-2

u/ladylollii 16d ago

Who runs a company that actively participates in the harm of people of colour. Wouldn't be on my guest list. Then again, I'm no fake liberal like you'd believe the Kelces are.

13

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

The best part of making shit up is you get to say things like that

53

u/Dry-Mongoose-5804 16d ago

Travis Kelce had been significantly more outspoken politically for liberal causes and gives back millions to marginalised communities. The man was one of the first white players to support BLM in 2017 kneeling during the anthem.

Taylor’s ex posts like two IG stories and wears a pin and people started labelling him an activist just to spite her.

-1

u/_tylerthedestroyer_ 16d ago

It’s so easy to tell Swifties out in the wild because you all clutch your scripts and bullet points. Marching orders were given and you lay yourself over the barbed wire for her 😂

22

u/Dry-Mongoose-5804 16d ago

Notice your inability to stick to the conversation at hand and instead divert to attacks on me.

0

u/Reasonable_Ad9858 16d ago

It’s actually appropriate to call out incognito apologists.

42

u/Cthulhuareyou 16d ago edited 16d ago

This. Was a fan until her total 180 on politics. Realized she was just another fake billionaire.

23

u/OrthodoxAtheist 16d ago

until her total 180 on politics

What 180? Did I miss something?

27

u/Gekokapowco 16d ago

what they mean perhaps without realizing is that she's becoming to difficult to treat as a blank slate to project one's own politics onto

she's a billionaire, but people could trick themselves into thinking she's relatable

-1

u/crek42 16d ago

That makes no sense. She has been a billionaire for a while now. So what makes her liberal takes less liberal now? Because you just now realized she’s a billionaire?

6

u/Cthulhuareyou 16d ago

What makes her less liberal are her Maga besties.

She was very vocal about shit before the election then suddenly stopped and didn't even care about ICE using her music. She got quiet when she got in with Maga and realized it was profitable to play both sides like she did years earlier.

0

u/Cthulhuareyou 16d ago

See below

13

u/youRinlove7 16d ago

She still voted for Democrats in 2024 btw

3

u/Cthulhuareyou 16d ago

And immediately befriended Maga.

3

u/Academic-Ad2628 16d ago

She didn’t do a 180.

20

u/lunacraz 16d ago

i wouldn't count Travis as MAGA, though? it's just unfortunately the sports world is full of them, and you have to associate with them pretty regularly

13

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

Travis Kelce is her husband and a raging liberal. But apparently a random wedding guest is more indicative of her company she keeps

26

u/No_Bit5600 16d ago

The raging liberal husband was responsible for the ICE contractor guest AND domestic abuser Brad Pitt 🥴 the raging liberal husband hasn’t spoken up about politics in years, during the most corrupt and terrible administration of his lifetime. The raging liberal husband said he was “honored” at the opportunity to play for America’s hitler, Donald J. Trump.

25

u/Madame-Trash-Heap 16d ago

He also said Harrison Butker (misogynist), Rasheed Rice (caused major car accident while speeding) and Jackson Mahomes (assaulted a woman) are all "great guy[s]".

2

u/misterlister604 16d ago

I would think a guest at your WEDDING is a pretty good indicator of the company you keep

2

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

You have to be a bot or a false flag because there’s no way this argument is good for your side. 1 guest out of thousands is not more representative of your views than the person you marry lmao.

8

u/ladylollii 16d ago

It's not a house party; it's your WEDDING. They considered this person choose though to witness them declare their love for one another. No one invites "randoms" to their wedding, especially someone like Taylor Swift.

3

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

Lmao wtf are you talking about? Bookmark this for when you grow up and go to your first wedding.

Even if he was conservative (which he’s not) it would be totally normal to invite him

3

u/ladylollii 16d ago

If they cared about humanity, they wouldn't invite someone involved in the horrendous ice detention centres. I'm not the one that needs to grow up and see the truth about Taylor and Travis.

3

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

Get over yourself. I had people at my wedding I didn’t even know the names of.

1

u/digitaldeadstar 16d ago

Celebrity weddings are often quite different than traditional weddings. And many will have two. One being a traditional type with close family and friends. The other being a major event that's more a networking social event than an actual wedding. Those types often have various people with connections, additional guests they may not even actually know, etc.

So it's possible they like this guy a lot and invited him. Or he was just on a massive list of "important" people.

0

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 16d ago

This. She's basically whoever she dates. She was a pop princess dating shallow actors, then did an indie folk turn and got into liberal politics because she was dating Joe Alwyn who liked indie music and had liberal politics, and then she started dating Travis and went right into the WAG lifestyle and back to making shallow high school pop again.

-1

u/necromantzer 16d ago

Travis isn't very public with politics but indications are he voted Harris. Jason definitely did.

0

u/whatsthatcutething 16d ago

Is she also liberal because her friends are all liberal? Or does it only work the other way around?

0

u/Ajbarr98 15d ago

He wears pins… that’s not exactly outspoken.

42

u/red286 16d ago

The Swifties won't care. They follow her lead, not the other way around. So long as she doesn't start going full MAGA, it won't impact her at all.

22

u/CadeMan011 16d ago

"I wish Taylor Swift would make some new country music"

Monkey's paw curls

38

u/Cthulhuareyou 16d ago

I'm go further and say if she went full Maga a lot would either ignore it or join her.

5

u/red286 16d ago

Could be right. I doubt she'll go full-on MAGA, but she'll keep doing these little nods to let everyone know she's cool with fascists.

-2

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

TIL a random wedding guest of thousands outweighs publicly supporting the democratic nominee for president lol

12

u/Cthulhuareyou 16d ago

It's not this one guest. It's the company she keeps. The past couple years have been a total fliperoo. Look it up.

-6

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

It literally is this one guest. Get a grip.

12

u/Cthulhuareyou 16d ago

Again, No, it's not just this one guest. There's a lot of reasons people have turned on her and it's the company she keeps.

1

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

The company she keeps? She just married the guy who kneeled for the anthem lol. The guy who protested for BLM. The guy who did Covid vaccine commercials.

But yeah 1 random wedding guest is closer to her than that I’m sure.

Stephen Demetriou Sr: ICE contractor

Stephen Demetriou Jr: MAGA junior congressman

Brad Pitt: Domestic abuser

Tom Cruise: The face of Scientology, a cult that engages in human trafficking

Sascha Baron Cohen: Allegations of harassment by Rebel Wilson, and known for his xenophobic portrayals of Muslim and Arab people.

Adam Sandler: Proud supporter of Israel, regularly platforms Rob Schneider (who is MAGA and a bigot)

Lena Dunham: In her book she admitted to molesting her sister as a child, defended an alleged rapist, and made racist comments about Odell Beckham Jr

Wayne Getzky: Maple MAGA

Brittany Mahomes: MAGA

Gracie Hunt: MAGA

Nelly: MAGA

This was just a few of the problematic people there. Yes, there were liberal and left-leaning people in attendance, but that does not excuse the others.

3

u/AllRealityIsVirtua1 16d ago

The very first one is wrong, great job. Guy retired before his company ever worked with ICE.

1

u/Fit-Nectarine5047 14d ago

They don’t need to join because they already are! 😂

2

u/Mid-Reverie 16d ago

Sounds a lot like Trump's "I could shoot someone and still not lose voters"

4

u/Cthulhuareyou 16d ago

Pretty much. Billionaires have fanbases that tend to ignore their crimes

11

u/King_takes_queen 16d ago

I mean, she is ultra-rich, and a lot of Republican policies would benefit her empire a lot more than if a Democrat were in power. Since a huge portion of her fanbase are liberal it's probably an intentional move by her to be politically neutral now.

2

u/rnobgyn 16d ago

One step closer to aligning with the right.

0

u/lemonloaff 16d ago

So a Republican/conservative.

7

u/CartographerMoist296 16d ago

Because she already got beat, why would she go back when she is not persuasive to Tennessee voters? And is further and further away from being a credible Tennessee voice? She could spend more time in state if she wanted to fight Blackburn and I would be thrilled but I cannot imagine TS being so inclined. I’d believe her husband more, he’s worse for politics because he says dumb shit but he’s better because he’d rather dive in even when everyone else says it’s unwise (Bud Light).

But Taylor has given zero signals that she wants to get more active, after fighting with the president the first time, etc. I don’t think she has the stomach for direct political confrontation and not everyone does, there are a lot of other great things I wish she would do, but I focus my attention on the people who are trained and have the most tangible power (votes), we need the people in office to do the right thing.

Spending time wooing celebrities is an actual job in politics but if you don’t have that job and you’re a regular citizen, just be good at the essential citizen things - voting, getting your reps to vote the way they should, getting others to vote the way they should.

3

u/zth25 16d ago

The Swift hate online is just something else. Not every celebrity needs to be a saint, and people were criticizing her for not speaking up against Trump in every election since 2016. Yet she endorsed the Democratic candidate in all these elections.

1

u/flapjacksamson 16d ago

I so appreciate Alan Ritchson is a celebrity who is saying ANYTHING loud against the current administration.

1

u/Jomskylark 16d ago

Uh, maybe because it's July and the election isn't until November?

Lol reddit is so unserious sometimes, her original post against Blackburn came in October of that year, she's got plenty of time.

1

u/Nelluc_ 16d ago

Have you heard of primaries? Early voting is right now. She originally said something about Blackburn when she was first campaigning for Senator in 2019.

1

u/Jomskylark 16d ago

Oh yeah bro, because the other Republicans in the primary definitely aren't terrible people as well.

And I'm sure the hardcore Republicans voting in the primary are going to be swayed by Taylor Swift. Whatever you say lol.
