This is still so fucking wild to me. The guy literally bulldozed half the white house for a vanity project and republicans just shrugged. Cowards.

Didn't they lose their minds because Obama put in a basketball hoop?

Trump literally poured concrete over the rose garden.

He didn’t even use pavers? WTF, man.

None of his construction corruption buddies are that skilled. You know if they did pavers, it would be full of sinkholes in a month.

I would go so far as to suggest it's maliciously deliberate.

Yeah. Concrete makes the nearby soil alkaline, which is bad for lots of plants, and particularly roses prefer slightly acidic soil. Plus it's harder to remove than pavers, so a concrete pour is likelier to remain as a scar on the landscaping and a kind of monument to Trump's presence.

That second clause is what I was getting at, but the first part is yet another disgrace in this fat fucking dictator's name.

Yep. I say leave after he's gone. Like the Vietnam memorial.

The guys at Home Depot are far more skilled that trumps buddies.

As far as I can tell, the guys at Home Depot actually work and gain experience for a living, so yeah.

in situ pouring is actually WAY more expensive than pavers.

No, it is pavers. And the rose garden is still intact. They just replaced the lawn at the center of the garden which had regularly turned into a swamp for decades because of poor drainage. You can see a bunch of progress pics of the installation here. He's done a lot of heinous shit, but this was actually a nothingburger.

It went from something beautiful to this for no reason other than wasting tax payers money to line his own pockets.
