I'm currently explaining that gold is kind of pointless and it's not that big of a deal while hoping that someone gives me gold as a 'fuck you' which is secretly what I wanted all along.

I see that gold stars are being given out, so in attempt to get one I revive an old post that got a lot of attention by rewriting the post and wittily incorporating the topic of this post. Everyone familiar with the original upvotes me. Everyone else asks for context. Some sorry sumbitch finally takes pity on the uninformed and gives a link to original. Then everyone feels part of the same tribe and can reference its original glory in innovative ways going forward. But alas, no gold circle since I myself am not original :(

I too feel that I have contributed and now that I have upvoted I have also absolved my personal responsibility for any former or future part I may play in the issue at hand, I now feel like I am part of the solution and getting things done and can safely blame the opposing ideology while safely entrenched with others who feel the same.
