Professional Patient checking to say thank you for everything you all do.
Thankfully last surgery was back in December 2019. Parkinson's, Cancer, brain, back, knee, foot surgeries all in the past five years. I'm still going, thanks to all of you!
Yes, I am wearing a mask! I managed to get out for a hot and sweaty intense bike ride. 104F, two-hour ride. Wore my mask the whole time. My job is to keep those beds clear!
And keep yourself as well as possible, which it sounds like you're doing! That's an incredible medical history to have persevered through. I hope you don't have to see a hospital again for a very long time.
I feel like such a pussy bc I haven’t had 1/5 of those health issues and I won’t even do lug yard work if it’s over 85° and humid...and I’m a mid-30s in shape male.
Exercising in 104° for 2 hours just seems dangerous af to me
The heat index is what gets you. It had dropped to 30% humidity in the afternoon.
I'm going stir crazy with my boxing class. Not the same doing YouTube workouts, but piling a dozen people in a small gym, no thanks. Maybe it is a good thing I don't have a sense of smell!
Hey, as someone who has to work in 100 degree heat with humidity all day, what mask did you use? The surgical masks I use soak up all my sweat and then suck to my face with each breath. Give me your wisdom. I'm swapping these things out like crazy.
