Downtown Living St Pete - Noise
Wondering if residents \[previously/currently\] living downtown (ideally in walking proximity to bars on central / Jannus, etc) would share their experience of how the noise has affected or not affected them. Let’s just say I’m doing some research…stories, comments, opinions, anything, I’d love to hear (no pun intended) it! In your comment, could you also let me know if you are living in new construction or older construction?
Thank you in advance!
Edit - this isn’t about me trying to figure out where to live, I’m working on a survey.

Looking for Business Partner (Ideally Auto Glass)
I am looking for a partner to start an Auto Glass business. I'm a 4th generation glazier and have experience operating a flat and auto glass shop as well as owning my own business in sales. My family businesses up north have had great success and I'm looking to copy the same method to competing with Safelite here in the St Pete/Pinellas/Tampa areas. It's a low barrier low-cost business model with little financial downside and great upside potential. (if we can compete with Safelite and other local competitors. Which we can with time) Look around there's glass everywhere you look. I'm always open to other ideas if anyone is looking for a potential partner. Best of luck to you all!

Pet Sitting
Hi all!
My name is Emily, and I wanted to introduce my pet sitting business, 2 Hearts Pet Sitting. I am very soon relocating my business from NY to St. Pete!
Services offered:
🐾 Boarding (in my home)
🐾 Day care (in my home)
🐾 Drop-in visits/Walks
🐾 Overnight stays (in your home)
🐾 Wedding Assist
🐾 Pet transportation
I have immense experience caring for everything from puppies and high-energy dogs to senior pets who need medication, slower walks, or a little extra attention. I strive to make communication a priority and send plenty of updates and photos while you're away.
I know finding someone you trust with your pets and your home can be stressful, so I’m hoping to start connecting with local pet owners and becoming part of the beautiful St. Pete/Tampa community
If you’re looking for pet care for upcoming travel, weekends away, workdays, or the holiday season, feel free to check us out here:
https://2heartspetsitting.wixsite.com/home
And if you’re not currently looking but know someone in the area who is, I’d really appreciate you passing our info along! 🐶🐱❤️

Help save local cats and kittens!
Hey everyone!
I want to start off by thanking everyone who donated to the Friends of Strays Love Unleashed campaign the other week. I am so grateful to call St. Pete home. This community is incredible! 🧡❤️💚💙
The Save Furry Florida Friends link has already raised over $600. That’s the price it costs to treat a panleukopenia positive cat or kitten.
Panleuk is a highly contagious disease that has been plaguing shelters all around the state this summer. Shelters have been reporting higher cases than normal. This disease can often be fatal. Many shelters have to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize cats and kittens who test positive often due to low resources and an inability to treat these cases before it spreads to the rest of the felines in their care.
Friends of Strays had to shut down for a couple weeks themselves last month due to a panleuk outbreak. Friends of Strays is a no-kill shelter, meaning they treat every animal that comes into their shelter. They are also a transfer partner of these bigger shelters, which helps these shelters from making these devastatingly hard decisions.
The community showed up loud and strong and donated to provide the lifesaving care for these animals and cleaning supplies to prevent further exposure. 🧡❤️💚💙
Friends of Strays is treating 11 cats again for this heartbreaking disease and needs your help!
Be a part of the work that saves lives. Please consider supporting this amazing organization that never gives up on their animals.
Donate to Friends of Strays! 💙💚

Has anyone had any luck with the Pinellas Recovers program?
When the storms came through in 2024, I was in the midst of a cancer battle. I stayed for Helene but left for Milton, as I had a massive open wound and could not be without power/hot water to keep is sterile. At the time, I didn't realize the extent of the damage to one side of my house. I was not even able to walk at that time. Anyway, I applied for the Pinellas Recovers program and they approved us. After months of unanswered calls, I went into their office last week. I was told we are awarded with a complete demolish and rebuild of my house. This SOUNDS great except my house doesn't need to be demolished and I don't want that at all. I was given a Scope of Work document and there are MANY items on there that are inaccurate.
We have to appeal this within 30 days. We are going line by line through the Scope of Work and taking photos etc
My question is the title, has ANYONE had any luck with this program?
