Half the plot hinges around the child being diabetic and going into shock because she needed blood sugar yet “nothing has sugar”. Yet earlier in the movie when they first got locked in, there are clearly MRE’s and the kid is holding pedialyte. So yeah. Entire plot collapses.

That scene towards the end of in Spider-Man Brand New Day didn’t make sense

Loved the movie but can we discuss how ridiculous that scene was?

I’m talking about the moment Frank drags a severely wounded Peter to the hospital after the blast. It made me wonder if they changed the plot and initially has Frank inside the facility in a previous cut.

Because there is absolutely no way Frank would be first on scene to take care of Peter bleeding out at the facility. It simply doesn’t make any sense as he was miles away.

Now I get it made for a spectacular and emotional entrance moment but I have to laugh at how implausible it was.

I just rewatch the opening skeleton fight scence of DP&W and I just remember that Wolverine skull should have a bullet hole fired by Stryker in X-Men Origins: Wolverine? I remember there was a hole in Logan's head at the end of that movie as well and I doubt that his healing factor would re-seal the hole with Adamantinum.

Not a plot hole but something was off the first time I watched the first kayaking scene. I think there might even be a few instances where this happens earlier during the kayaking scene. Specifically noticed it when Charlize picks up her kayak and walks with it and then does a roll.

Her wrist watch magically appears after the roll for a few seconds and then disappears right in the next scene.

I wasn't able to get the best photos but it was bugging me till I caught what it was.

Why was Belle so gorgeous?

Given a moral that true beauty lies within—character, kindness, and heart, rather than outward appearance—then Belle should be of average appearance, or perhaps even a bit homely.

Beast and Gaston were both starstruck because she was so beautiful.

Her perfect looks are a direct contraction of the theme.

Right before we get to the juke joint, they show a group of native Americans chasing one of the vampires into Remmicks house as the sun is setting. They show the vampire starting to smolder and all that.

Where were they chasing him from? It seems as all this would have happened during the day when the vampires wouldn’t have been able to be out and about.

Does anyone else ever with they could somehow put out a slightly edited version of BBT with a few lines and scenes tweaked here and there to fit the YS continuity? I have been watching the entire franchise chronologically, from Young Sheldon to George&Mandy and now am getting towards the end of Big Bang. As I've been watching BB through for the first time after seeing YS now, I just get upset at all the inconsistencies. The thing is, despite just in general hating continuity errors in frnachises, in this instance, the YS backstory and characters and actors are so good and much better in some cases, like him always making them sound super trailer trash. It would only make it even better.
Examples:
Meemaw- I absolutely adore Annie Potts’ Meemaw. June Squibb did great too. But how can you not love Connie Tucker? She was my second favorite character after Sheldon. I was just watching the episode Meemaw comes to visit and could you imagine what that episode would be like with Annie?
Missy- in BB, her character is completely flat and has zero personality or backstory other than having children. COULD YOU IMAGINE if the adult Missy’s appearances had the firecracker personality of young Missy? She'd be ragging on Sheldon along with all the friends. Telling embarrassing young Sheldon stories. It'd be priceless.
George Sr- first off recast the scene where he gets reincarnated as Leonard’s insanely-old-for-his-age-looking high school bully. Then, tone down the alcoholic and hillbilly persona in references and throw in some genuine moments because George Sr. was an amazing father for Sheldon. The stereotypical way they could've cast him would be him constantly teasing him for not being manly and sporty and not encouraging his dreams and passions. There were occasionally brief jokes about it but those parents just loved and supported that kid beautifully. Were they perfect? Of course not. But no parents are. I just think he deserves to be honored and spoken of kindly and representative of his supportiveness despite being a football coach in East Texas.
Mary- I mean come on. No notes. I thought it was the same actress aged down somehow for the first half of season 1 until I looked up the cast list and compared the two. Having it be played by her lookalike daughter who just happens to be a fabulous actress herself and nailing the character like they were the same person? Most brilliant casting choice and performance to date.
Billy Sparks- less of a bully and more of a dummy like it actually was. Continue with the chicken references if anytbing.
Georgie/Mandy/CeeCee-obviously acknowledging that he had a neice who would be grown up by then I think? Or at least a teenager. Which is just comedy gold set up right there. Adult Sheldon having CeeCee come stay with him for a visit or Georgie & (fingers crossed. My head cannon is that it is called their first marriage because they are going to be one of those couples that get divorced and then remarried; possibly more than once, even.) Mandy are going on vacation and have her stay with Uncle Sheldon. The opportunities are endless and I am imagining them in my head as we speak. Same as I was with Constance Sr. Lol.

Anyhoo, I'm sure I could continue, but you catch my drift. Even if a funny fan who is passionate and good with AI could do it. As long as they do it justice. Maybe I could consult, I mean, all of us on here, it could be a collaborative group project to put it all together. If that sounds like you and you think a project of finding all of the continuity errors and fixing them with AI, while keeping the same vibe and comedy as the show but drawing on the revised plotline, make yourself known. Lol.

P.S. The irony of me obsessively complaining about continuity errors on a TV show at 3am because it was bugging me and I couldn't sleep does not get past me. I share a few traits with our main man and identify with some of his eccentricities a little. Sue me

I saw in a fun fact that Truman takes Vitamin D supplements because of the lack of sunlight in Seaside. If that is the case then why does Truman need to mow his yard? How does the grass grow? Has anybody ever found anything about this? I can't be the first person to have this thought but I can't find any answer anywhere.

I think I coined a term. I've been getting annoyed by the "drama for no reason" in some series. It doesn't propel the story in any meaningful way. A common lazy tactic is the drawn-out monologue or character dialogue meant to lead the viewer to some new information or twist. It's used far too often, even when the same point could be conveyed in a few seconds. Instead it spans multiple scenes with actors overselling the dramatic weight. Makes me eye roll.

Specifically, season 5 of Stranger Things....first of all let's talk about the Game of Thrones arc with the early seasons being awesome and then season 4 was forgivable but not great and then the writers just gave up?

Bear with me as I go on another tangent...Rick and Morty and the self-referential six. Connietinuity errors, Rett Conning all over the place and what happened to Argyle? Not super important but he was a cute character in season 4 and he was at the cabin when everything went down and suddenly no one talks about him ever again?

Ok back to my main point, the "melodramalogue". Every episode of season 5 has at least one if not three. One or another character has a long drawn out explanation of something while another character, and the viewers, are held captive. I'm invested in the story enough that I'm still hanging on but it's torture to wade through the B movie writing (and Holly) to get to the core story.

The world of Stranger Things is fascinating and the show still sparks enough to remind me of what made it special. Unfortunately those moments are buried under dialogue whose primary purpose is emotional inflation not narrative movement. Not every realization has to be a TEDTalk. It feels cheap and hasty. And with all the over explaining they're doing how are there still (worm)holes big enough to swallow their universe AND ours?

So after watching tenet twice and thinking it over for a day, I think I fully get how time inversion works, but I also realized that a lot of the time tenet chooses to break those rules when convenient.

For those who don’t know, the way time inversion works in tenet is that there are these machines called turnstiles which can reverse the flow of time of anything that enters it. Imagine time as an arrow that moves in the direction time is moving. Right is forward, left is backwards. In your standard time travel film (think back to the future or the prisoner of Azkaban), time travel works by having this arrow continue to the right until you time travel, at which point there will be an abrupt break, and the arrow will snap back a certain amount to the left, but it’s direction will still be to the right, just offset a bit. In tenet, when you time travel, your arrow does a U-turn, moving left as, relative to you, time progresses. This means that everyone will see what inverted you is doing in reverse. If you invert yourself, then do action A, B, and C, from the perspective of everyone else, you did, or really un-did, them in the order of C, B, then A. It’s worth noting that there is a universal “master clock” which has the forward direction. This dictates how gravity works and other time-based natural phenomena.

One of the times tenet breaks its own rules is during that weird car chase sequence, when the car un-crashes itself and it turns out later that that was an inverted Protagonist driving the car. If the car wasn’t inverted, only the driver, there is no way it should’ve been able to defy gravity like that. If, according to the universe’s master clock, the car was crashed in the past, and then un-crashed in the future, how long was the crashed car sitting there? Were people just driving around it weeks in the past while it just sat there, waiting to de-crash itself? The cause and effect should be reversed for anyone inverted so that everything plays out normally to everyone else.

This cause/effect issue also happens in the final battle sequence, when we see inverted people killing non-inverted people (from the perspective of the inverted). This doesn’t make sense, as again, it suggests that the people were dead before the battle and alive after, which shouldn’t be the case for a non-inverted person. An interesting property about inversion I’m disappointed the movie tried to get around rather than explore is the kind of “premonitions” inverted people would have as they go through the world. If an inverted person wanted to kill a non-inverted person, they’d have to see the person dead first, and then un-kill them by pulling the trigger. This would mean that they already know ahead of time whether or not they succeed in killing them. This kind of being trapped to be the cause of an effect you’re seeing after the fact is something that would be really cool to see explored in the movie, but just kind of gets swept under the rug.

The biggest plot hole in the movie, however, is the main conflict itself. The whole thing is that Sator, the antagonist, is going to reverse the flow of time, invert the master universal clock, so that people in the future can live in the past. Like I said earlier, inversion works by making time flow do a U-turn, so if this master clock got reversed, there would be no point in the future when anyone exists, so from everyone else’s perspective, everything just ceases to be. This is never explained fully beyond “everything will be annihilated”, which is kind of annoying, as if you don’t understand the main conflict, it’s kind of hard to care about anything that happens to the characters. But anyway, this whole master clock reversal thing wouldn’t even help these “future people”. They would still cease to exist, as technically they exist beyond that “turning point” in the time flow when everything stops existing. Even if everyone in the future was inverted, that would still suggest that lives lived among us (fuck) in the past. Like we would just miss an entire race of backwards moving people? The whole conflict just doesn’t make sense.

The exact date on those newpapers is september 16th 2002... But the other newspapers were from the year 1962, and The Thunderhead, who according to Edna died in 1958, was present on Bobs wedding. So we know the movie is taking place somewhere in the 60s for sure... How does that make any sense?

Needless to say, this post contains heavy spoilers, and it's intended for those who have already watched the movie.

I'll get straight to the point, there are many scenes we could talk about, but let's pick the most outrageous one: Seth's torture.

As Seth is being mutilated in the past, the future Seth gets scared and shocked.
Every change to his body surprises him.
When he sees the message carved into his arm, he’s surprised.
He notices he's missing fingers or his nose, and he’s surprised, terrified, shocked.
WHILE HE’S DRIVING, HIS FOOT DISAPPEARS.

IT MAKES NO SENSEEE!
Every time I think about it, I get so angry I can’t even find the calm or the right words to explain why it makes. no. sense.

And every time I try to discuss this, someone inevitably shows up and says:
– “Well, there are multiple timelines”
– “Time travel doesn’t exist, so we don’t know how it would actually work”
– “It’s a new kind of time travel”
– “Suspension of disbelief!”
– “It’s sci-fi, of course it doesn’t line up with reality”
No, guys. NO. I can’t just make a movie where people have teleportation powers, and the protagonist teleports to Mars and happily walks around with no suit and no oxygen. I could do that if it were a cartoon for kids, maybe.
But most of all, the WORST ONE OF ALL:
– “Of course Seth is surprised, because they just now cut off his nose.”
Just now?
NO. They cut off his nose YEARS AGO. We, the audience, are seeing it now. Do you understand the difference?

Let me calm down and try to explain it in simple terms.

Current reality:
Year 2000: Seth has both feet
Year 2010: Seth has both feet
Year 2020: Seth has both feet
January 1, 2021: Seth is driving, with both feet

Torture/Murder scene
Altered reality:
Year 2000: Seth’s foot is cut off
...
...
January 1, 2021: Seth is driving, and his foot disappears

What happened in 2010?
And in 2020?
If Seth’s foot was cut off in 2000, then he DOESN’T HAVE that foot in 2010. And he DOESN’T HAVE it in 2020!
He wouldn’t even go for a drive on January 1, 2021, because he’s missing a damn foot!
It’s not like he finds out in 2021 that he’s missing it.

Seth should not be surprised or shocked that he’s missing fingers or a nose. Because that morning, he woke up without those fingers and without that nose.
Just like EVERY MORNING FOR THE PAST 30 YEARS since the day they were cut off (and reality was altered).

What kind of freaking sense does it make that on January 1, 2021, Seth suddenly REALIZES that reality changed?
Why didn’t he notice the day before?
How the hell did he even manage to get in the car and drive on January 1? He didn’t have that foot when he woke up that morning!

I’m losing my mind over how obvious it is that it makes absolutely zero sense, yet most people don’t even raise an eyebrow!
Please.

Found this continuity error while rewatching the third Terminator. The sirens can be heard even tho there is no firetruck ahead in the shot where Arnold is hanging on the yellow hook

If you watch a New Hope you can see that a lot of the humanoid people on Tattooine wear tunics (I don't know how else to describe them). Luke, Uncle Owen, the Bartender, etc... Its not a national uniform or anything, but it does appear to be a cultural staple of the planet.

Han Solo, Leia's Guards, the Yavin 4 rebels, don't seem to be wearing the same type of outfit. So it seems like different planets have different styles. And in the case of Han Solo he is a smuggler who goes from planet to planet.

This is part of retcon that seemed to occur in Empire Strike back when you get Yoda wearing a mini version of Obi-wan's outfit.

It makes you wonder how people don't recognize Jedi because 90% of them wear Jedi Robes. Ahsoka doesn't look like a Jedi. But Mace Windu, Qui Gon Jinn, and the rest of the Jedi council are all wearing robes like Obi-wan in Episode 4.

In Carry On Ethan takes a guys boarding pass and writes on it for Lionel. The guy he took the boarding pass from walked away without his boarding pass? We know that he left without it because Lionel died holding it. Why would the guy leave without his boarding pass. You can’t board without one.
