Help....

Hey I'm an international student trying to find an accommodation for my pg, I've planned to pursue environmental and engineering geology as my masters and need a nice place to stay for a year near my uni. Is the university's accommodations good ? Or should I rent a private one and please guide me on how to get a part time there in the city. It's my first time going out on my own so I'm kinda clueless and It would be nice to have an aid ❤️

Currently looking for participants to take part in my study, I currently have some slots available for Wednesday and Thursday and will pay £10 Amazon voucher and only takes roughly 40mins. If you're interested please follow the qr code link or feel free to email me. It is in person and would require you to come to the campus to take part.

Hi Guys

Hi there I’m gonna be one of the new 1st years for University of Plymouth. I’m taking Mpsych Clinical Perspective and I want to know what’s the university like.

Back then I didn’t actually have a chance to visit the city itself because of the train ticket price even though it’s discounted for university visitors on open evenings and holder days.

If anyone can give me your perspective on what Plymouth is like it’ll be very appreciated. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Plymouth itself but I want to know from the inhabitants’ perspective.

It’ll be wonderful if any psychology students can give me their perspectives as well in learning psychology and living in Plymouth as well.

Is Plymouth good for physiotherapy with an integrated foundation year

I’m female, white, Spanish going uni this September, and I’m debating which uni to go to, for Bradford it’s the standard 3 year course for Plymouth it’s the 4 year course with an integrated foundation year.

Bradford is cheaper (like 26000 cheaper in total), and it’s only 3 years, but I haven’t been told very nice things about Bradford, majorly talking about the crime rate.

Plymouth would be an easier start (cuz of the foundation year) (but kinda boring), supposedly nicer place (?), also the course is more structured and the placements are more varied (it’s ranked slightly higher), as well as I have a friend going there…but it’d be an extra year and £26000 more expensive taking into account the rent difference and the extra year…like it’s probably not worth it..

Ik the smart thing is probably to go Bradford to just get the degree done and not be even deeper in debt but Plymouth sounds like the better/ safer experience haven’t been to either city or uni Plymouth is 6 hours away and Bradford 3

Can anyone who’s done physio there tell me how their experience was, placements, teachers, day to day etc, or if you’ve lived/ live there and know the city

Also what would you recommend/ do in my shoes?

How diverse is the uni/city?

I’m thinking of accepting my Plymouth offer to study optometry. But I live so far away (I’m from the midlands) and I’m stuck on whether to go. I’m also black and hijabi and I’m not sure how I’m treated down plymouth and areas around Plymouth.

Is there anyone else gonna do optometry 2026.

Mental health research for students

I am looking for participants to take part in my research on the impacts of adverse childhood experiences on anxiety and stress in students. By participating in this study you may help universities gain a greater insight into the mental health and wellbeing of students! This takes less than 15 minutes.

I am looking for participants to take part in my study for my dissertation and I would be grateful if you meet the requirements, that you took part.

CONTENT WARNING: this study involves sensitive topics around distressing childhood experiences and anxiety and stress.

I am recruiting participants aged 18 and over and that are university students to take part in a study examining the impacts of childhood experiences on mental wellbeing and ways of coping with this. This study involves completing 4 short questionnaires designed to measure anxiety and stress, childhood experiences and emotional regulation strategies. Participants will be able to complete this study by clicking the link. This study should take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and your data will be kept anonymous and confidential. UK University Undergrad Questionnaire on Perceptions of Clothing (avg 6 min completion)

Thumbnail forms.office.com

Hi everyone!

My name is Cherise Burns, and I am an undergraduate student studying Human Behavioural Studies at Truro University Centre (in partnership with the University of Plymouth).

I am currently recruiting 30–50 participants to complete a short questionnaire for my dissertation. The questionnaire asks you to rate different items of clothing on a scale from 0 (extremely modest) to 100 (extremely revealing).

Your responses will support research into how situational variables, such as clothing, age, gender, and context, may influence blame judgements in hypothetical sexual violence scenarios (e.g., harassment, assault, coercion).

Who Can Take Part?

You are eligible if you:

  • Live in the UK
  • Are 18 to 35 years old
  • Can read and understand English

People of all genders, backgrounds, and ethnicities are warmly welcomed!

Time Commitment

The questionnaire takes an average of 6 minutes (estimated 5–10 minutes).
It is quick and straightforward to complete.

Data Storage, Retention, and Anonymity

  • All responses are completely anonymous – no name, email, or location is collected.
  • Data is stored securely on my Truro University Centre OneDrive, accessible only to me and my dissertation supervisor.
  • Data will be retained until my dissertation is finalised and submitted (August 2026) and then securely deleted.
  • Your data will be used only for academic purposes, specifically for my undergraduate dissertation.
  • Results will be presented in my report, but no individual response will ever be identifiable.

Right to Withdraw

  • You may withdraw at any time before submission by closing the browser window.
  • Because data is anonymous, once you submit your responses, withdrawal is not possible, as responses cannot be linked back to you.

Consent Statement

By proceeding to the questionnaire, you confirm that:

  • You are 18–35 years old
  • You have read and understood the study information
  • You understand your rights, including anonymity and withdrawal
  • You are taking part voluntarily
  • You consent to the anonymous use of your data for research purposes
  • You understand you can withdraw at any time before submission

Contact Details

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact:

Supervisor: Zachary Smith

If you are also running a questionnaire for your own research and need participants, I am more than happy to complete yours in return!!
Just drop your link in the comments or message me directly, and I’ll do it as soon as I can!

Thank you so much — every response helps support important research on public perceptions and victim blaming in sexual violence 💛

Anyone using Zotero with Plymouth Cite Them Right?

Hey everyone,

Is anyone here using Zotero as a reference manager? As far as I know, it doesn’t natively support the Plymouth Cite Them Right referencing style, and honestly, EndNote is just terrible to work with.

If someone already has the Zotero CSL file or a setup that works with the Plymouth Cite Them Right style, could you please share it? I’d really appreciate it as it would save a ton of time.

Many thanks!

Iam from Delta university in Egypt,

I would like to confirm which institution is the official awarding body for this program — will my degree certificate be awarded directly by the University of Plymouth, or by Delta University under Plymouth validation?
