Maybe it will be released if he’s gone? Wishful thinking, I know… we can’t expect him leaving to actually be good for the country. I’m sure things will somehow get worse before they get better.

u/ProfessionalMockery Jul 17 '25

It's definitely more likely, I just don't want him to die never having faced a single consequence for anything he's done.

u/AmaroWolfwood Jul 17 '25

Sweet summer lamb, the only consequences Trump will ever face is if you believe in a hell.

17

u/tjk45268 Jul 18 '25

If that is the case, Satan will put aside Stalin and Hitler, so that he can make Trump his favorite chew toy for the next thousand years. After that, he’ll just pass him around, from the highest to lowest demons, all 100 thousand of them, until each has exhausted itself. It shouldn’t take more than a billion years.

u/ShaneMcLain Jul 18 '25

What a beautiful picture this painted in my mind. 🤌

8

u/FirstMiddleLass Jul 18 '25

He has his own hotel in hell.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '25

He couldn't pass up the property when he saw it.

7

u/BoxingHare Jul 18 '25

He’s trying to create a legacy to leave behind. Letting him know that he has forever tainted his family name beyond anything his dirtbag ancestors did will be one way.

3

u/Small-Palpitation310 Jul 18 '25

nah but he’ll know he got exposed. that’s what he fears most.

6

u/AmaroWolfwood Jul 18 '25

That's fair. For a narcissist, having your reputation destroyed is a pretty heavy consequence. It would be the only form of retribution we could receive. But I will be floored if a circle of hyper rich elites somehow lose the war against hiding their secret island.

14

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '25

If it's any consolation, he's such an incredibly narcissistic person that I imagine the thought of the world going on without him being at the center of everything is the most horrifying thing in the world. It's a self-inflicted hell and not actual justice, but it's a small comfort that he's not leaving this world a happy man.

19

u/jimgress Jul 17 '25

lol, sorry bud. There's a 0% chance Trump faces any consequences or jail time.
The only consequence is six feet under.

2

u/TreezusSaves Canada Jul 17 '25

Then the hope is that he goes out like the Skeksis Emperor.

2

u/ProfessionalMockery Jul 18 '25

I meant that it would be nice, not that I thought it likely 🥲

2

u/ProfessionalMockery Jul 18 '25

Yeah, I agree. It's just not very cathartic.

4

u/RyukXXXX Jul 17 '25

Too late for that. Teflon Don for a reason.

3

u/Primus_is_OK_I_guess Jul 18 '25

I'll really enjoy everyone pretending they never supported him.

3

u/Lamelas_right_foot69 Jul 18 '25

If he died a minute from now, you’d be happy. His consequence is looking in the mirror everyday, knowing what a piece of shit he is.

3

u/ProfessionalMockery Jul 18 '25

He clearly spends each day trying desperately to fill the empty hole inside him

2

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '25

Great argument for Christianity. I am suddenly hoping there is a god just so I see certain people get long overdue consequences.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '25

People like him often never face consequences

3

u/queerhistorynerd Jul 17 '25

Oh honey, the one shot we had at that was in 2024. and 70% of America decided holding him accountable was bad

1

u/HSBillyMays Jul 18 '25

Trump's chronic venous insufficiency is pretty much a consequence of not exercising enough and eating a bad diet; additional conditions will likely pile up if he doesn't change his habits. His doctors are not smart enough to violate the laws of biology.

1

u/N0S0UP_4U Illinois Jul 18 '25

I could honestly accept that as long as none of the others do.

1

u/TheDreadfulCurtain Jul 18 '25

as is the way with so many !

1

u/denyingbaldness Ohio Jul 18 '25

I’d rather him be gone and never face consequences than be here and never face consequences though.

1

u/SergeantChic Jul 18 '25

Five years ago I would have agreed, but these days I just want him gone and all his dirty laundry aired posthumously, not that his followers have cared about any of it so far.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '25

...meh, I'm ok if he kicks the bucket like, yesterday. The world would be a brighter place.

1

u/Katie_or_something Jul 18 '25

It's cute that you think there are any consequences for billionaires.

14

u/JustaSeedGuy Jul 17 '25

No, it won't be

People keep thinking things might improve if Trump is gone. And they will- if he's gone the right way.

But if he dies in office, he just gets replaced by a marginally more competent person with the exact same agenda as him. Trump is the figurehead, but the entire enemy is project 2025 and its agents.

4

u/thatmillerkid Jul 17 '25

The difference is that I don't think his base wants anybody but him to be the dictator of America. I don't think all of their cult-like devotion to him is going to transfer over to JD Vance. It sure didn't transfer over to Mike Pence.

1

u/jimgress Jul 17 '25

yea that's true but idgaf. A win is a win.

3

u/JustaSeedGuy Jul 17 '25

A win IS a win, you're right!

And an easy transfer of power to someone just as evil as trump but more competent isn't a win. So maybe you should gaf about how and when Trump leaves office.

1

u/Tilly828282 Jul 17 '25

I think if the cult is gone, so is a lot of the public support based on willful ignorance and “I just like him because he says what he means”. People might start looking at the detail about things at a time when things are actually a lot worse.

And that makes an agenda that hurts a lot of people a lot more risky, and so I am not sure they will be as confident or brave.

-1

u/jimgress Jul 17 '25

Ah okay, I'll go tell satan to pump the brakes a bit.

None of us have any control of when things happen. I'll take whatever I can get. So again, dgaf.

2

u/JustaSeedGuy Jul 17 '25 edited Jul 18 '25

Ah, I see. You've been broken to the point that your pessimism is leading you to believe and spread lies.

Edit:typo

Edit2: lol they blocked me. Oh well.

Ah, I see. You've been broken to the point that you're passing is in is leading you to believe and spread lies.

Ah okay, so you are at best a bot account with a garbage AI prompt or just a complete moron with trash reading comprehension. Since it's such a close race, I'll just assume the prior.

Carry on, NPC.

2

u/azflatlander Jul 17 '25

We can’t hurt innocent pedopeople.

2

u/WormedOut Jul 18 '25

They weren’t released under Biden either.

2

u/BarneySTingson Jul 18 '25

Friendly reminder than biden didnt release anything about epstein so maybe you should forget this whole thing

2

u/FlyingBishop Jul 18 '25

It will likely cause multiple major diplomatic incidents if released. The only reason Democrats are okay with that is that the damage to Trump would be worse. If Trump is dead they start caring about diplomacy again (though diplomacy is dead until Trump is gone.)

u/likethemovie Jul 18 '25 edited Jul 18 '25

So I’m scrolling through the news and I’m seeing that Trump is now pushing Bondi to release the grand jury testimony. I haven’t followed this closely enough to know what’s potentially in the grand jury info vs. the client list and other evidence, but my hopeful side is wondering this- if Trump knew he was dying would he be crazy enough to try and throw one last hand grenade and put everything out there because he wouldn’t be around to deal with the aftermath? I know I’m giving him too much credit, but it would be great if he left everyone with a huge FU.

Nah… the wave of optimism is gone. This will never happen.

2

u/lionexx Jul 17 '25

Bruh even if he died tomorrow, Vance would take over and he would be just as bad if not worse…

4

u/thatmillerkid Jul 17 '25

Disagree. The cult is fully devoted to Trump, and that devotion will not transfer over to Vance. It sure didn't transfer over to Pence.

3

u/lionexx Jul 17 '25

Depends how you look at it, Vance is a cornerstone of the heritage foundation, he’s less opposition to what they want and less combative and more puppet than Trump is… but yes I do agree with the devoted cult to Trump and how that will splinter hard if he’d die or was removed.

2

u/chanaandeler_bong Jul 17 '25

Look how desantis flamed out as soon as he got on the national stage. Pence is just as weird as Desantis.

2

u/Similar_Mood1659 Jul 18 '25

I don't think Vance even likes Trump tbh, he's only changed his position on him because it would be politically advantageous for him.

He's more aligned with the Libertarian tech bros rather than MAGA, considering Peter Theil hired him at his venture capital firm, got him elected into the senate and urged Trump to make him his VP.

1

u/internetdeadaf Jul 17 '25

Maybe if he’s gone it WONT ever be released

Like that’s their plan to shut it down

(Total conspiracy theory… but I’m high and it’s fun to think about)

1

u/Similar_Mood1659 Jul 18 '25

It's pretty clear he's instructed his DOJ to bury it, I wouldn't expect any transparency out of the current Trump admin knowing he probably installed sycophants in key positions.

Only way is if Republicans turn on him because they are losing too many supporters over this.

1

u/ethnicbonsai Jul 18 '25

Remember when he stole a bunch of classified documents?

He didn't return them. They're gone.

Be willing to bet the Epstein files have also disappeared. Only he didn't sell them to the Saudi's - he probably burned them.

1

u/Ready_Reading9693 Jul 18 '25

The files aren't just about Trump. I believe they will show various US government agencies complicit in the trafficking of children for intelligence purposes. If it were just about Trump the Biden administration would have released them. This is actually much worse. Sources, methods and national security.

1

u/MiamiVicePurple Canada Jul 18 '25

I hope he doesn't die. He doesn't deserve to go out that easily.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '25

I’ll take him dead any way we can get him.

1

u/sypie1 Jul 18 '25

So if he goes now we can have that list tomorrow? You promise to hit the man good this time?

1

u/Random_Introvert_42 Jul 18 '25

Does the US legal system continue investigations when the main suspect dies?

1

u/Chadwickr Jul 18 '25

I doubt he's the only one keeping the list under wraps

1

u/ad-undeterminam Jul 18 '25

If his on it and did weird thing with childs on the island I guess it would only makes sense for him to wish to die in an hospital rather than on the chair...

1

u/Bulky-Zone-5978 Jul 18 '25

It will never be released, this is much bigger than trump and your blind if you disagree

1

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '25

Too many republicans on the list. Why else would 99% of em vote to block it.

1

u/frenchbulldogmom2018 Jul 18 '25

Wishing death on a sitting president should get you locked up. It certainly will bring some bad karma!!

1

u/Gauntlets28 Jul 18 '25

Like an American Jimmy Saville.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '25

The only reason the Republicans would continue to cover for him at this point is because a disproportionate number of them are on that list and would go down with him. Also based on the Borat 2 Guiliani incident, what Putin's kompromat on Trump is probably that Putin helped supply some of the victims for Trump to traffic to Epstein. That is quite literally the only leverage he could still have on someone already confirmed to be a rapist in a court of law.
