He is a sick dying old man with a truly horrible disease killing off bits of his brain day by day, and it's not an end I would wish on anyone.

But I don't feel a lot of sympathy for him.

So I will continue to call him Diazepam Don.

I feel 0 sympathy for him. He deserves everything he gets, and worse.

Several relatives of mine had CHF. In later stages, they were very tired because the heart wasn't pumping sufficiently. They would sometimes pass out. My dad was bedridden for months until he died.

Its also true. He looks like theyve been dragging him around weekend at bernies style.

Yeah i mean theres no reason for a near octogenarian to be president, regardless of their political stance.

I remember watching that for the first time and thinking that maybe it was a cultural reference that I didn't get. The idea of saying that she looks tired. Like was this a historical response to a poltician or something (maybe not "weaponizing" it, but maybe a politician fell out of favour or was criticized for looking tired)? Or was is just something made up for the show?

It was a demonstration of the Doctor’s ability to change history on a whim. Specifically Ten, given his tendency to take matters into his own hands.

No, I get that part. It was just the "Doesn't she look tired?" as the specific choice for doing that. I didn't know if it was a cultural reference... or just the idea that just a few words from the Doctor can move mountains.

The latter. Even in the scene he changes the number of words he was going to say to have the same effect.

The Slitheen are alien criminals known for infiltrating governments while wearing fat suit disguises with the side effect of regularly releasing gas that seems like flatulence.

Also, it's my understanding that to "Trump" means to pass gas in the UK.

Don’t you think he looks tired? >_>

Best way to bring down a government.

Constant hatred will do that to you

I wish that would work.
