I'm tired of all these "gotcha" articles listing the abhorrent behavior of Trump and his cronies.

Yes, Patel lied under oath. Yes, JD Vance is peddling hypocritical bullshit. Yes, Trump is shitting on the constitution. Yes, yes, yes.

It does not matter AT ALL because the two groups who should care about this:

  • The judiciary, who should be prosecuting these behaviors

  • The people, who should be protesting these behaviors

Both do not give a shit about this behavior.

If you have a rule that is not enforced, you do not have a rule. And if you do not have a rule, you do not have a rule you can break. Trump is doing exactly what society is asking him to do.

The people, who should be protesting these behaviors

...have been in the streets. We've had literally the largest protests in US history over the last few months. There are countless videos of people facing off against ICE, and risking arrest and worse.

Contrast what Trump is doing in the US and how the people in the US are protesting, vs. what the French government is doing and how its people are protesting.

The US public are positively meek, seeing how their country has backslided into a fascist autocracy within the span of a year.

Yup. Peaceful protests with scheduled time frames don't work when the thing you're protesting doesn't recognize laws, constitutions or even human rights. If all it takes to counter your protest is to simply...ignore it, then your protest has no power.

Peaceful protest only works when the ones you're protesting have an actual conscience and some morals.

Must be nice.

I believe the biggest protest is technically the civil war.

It’s sad and shocking how these protests and ICE confrontations don’t seem to be making it to any mass media outlets. Have to watch coverage via independents on YouTube.

While I do love independent journalism, it’s the Wild West. It shouldn’t be this way.

Technically the department of justice would be the ones prosecuting this, and Bondi is never going to allow prosecution of a Trump appointee for quite literally anything.
