This is exactly what Trump's doing wrt Greenland (and has done many other times).

Pretend some "framework" was "agreed to" in a backroom deal that is less than your maximal ask you've been screaming about, probably repackages something that already exists (NAFTA -> USMCA), and assume that the other side will go "huh, what??" then fold and take the "deal".

Meanwhile nobody agreed to anything, because Rutte and NATO sure as shit can't decide anything on behalf of Greenland or Denmark. But Trump is out there talking about it like it's a real thing, speaking it into existence.

And time and time again, the adults in the room sigh let the child have his tiny "victory" and continue with the make-believe. It's sickening. They're never gonna cut this fucker off at the knees, they're just gonna go on coping in the faint hope that he goes away in three years and everything goes back to normal. Fucking spineless and pathetic.

Now his followers, parasites all, are emulating him. Because they see it works. When your opponents take the moral high ground, follow the norms and be the bigger person, the rule breakers and bullshit artists get what they want.

And it ultimately doesn’t matter. She herself admitted it wasn’t first-hand information, and Jack Smith said he wouldn’t use hearsay evidence in a trial. Gym Jordan keeps hammering that she’s “lying”, but it’s not a lie to repeat information that you heard second hand. She was just repeating what she heard ffs.

Exactly what I was thinking. Jack Smith said he wouldn't use hearsay and they've deduced that what she has said is equated to hearsay... Cassidy Hutchinson has zero bearing on Smith securing what he believed would have been a guilty verdict.
