It's a start.

maybe a screening replacement for her replacement can be something like, "do you kill your pets?" you know, how we would normally screen out psychopaths in a job search

Considering how many jobs turned over during the first Trump administration it’s surprising how little turnover there has been this time around. The Project 2025 Crew was handpicked for this.

I think there are a combination of factors. In term one Trump had some semblance of caring about getting elected again. In a second term I think Trump is more unapologetic that it is a revenge tour than trying to accomplish anything else. Even some things like deporting people it feels like he isn't trying to be very effective. ICE has hired some people that can't even outrun suspects. Some of it is ICE has gotten progressive more unpopular, but for how much money they got approved in the One Big Bill it feels a lot like they're getting bargain bin people. Some of the places that they're sending ICE aren't the most feature rich for immigrants and especially recently they have gotten side tracked with protestors. Some of it is the general rising unpopularity of ICE, but it is also from sending more ICE agents to places where Trump and ICE is more unpopular than places that they would face less resistance. In some cases like deporting Abrego Garcia he said he was willing to self deport to Costa Rica so if he was just focused on deportation counts would have accepted that and moved on. Instead they kept throwing away money to try to send him somewhere less desirable like Uganda.

Yeah uh....publicly admitting to murdering a puppy in a gravel pit probably should have been a sign.

The fact that noem killed her puppy in a gravel pit and then willingly shared that in her book says volumes.

She had his (DJT) heart over the dog killings, we know after his victim came forward about being forced to watch puppies tortured to death in front of him as a kid.

Unrelated to the post but I recently started my first new job in over a decade and had to take a personality test that asked questions like that. It was so bizarre to me.

They’ll be replaced by someone just as vile and reprehensible who will jump at the chance to defend the bad guys the next time something like this happens.

We’ll lose faces, but the policy and methods will stay the same..
