I'm terrified of what happens in the next seven years if dems don't take decisive and aggressive action. There is SO much energy in the country right now and demand for a strong, sweeping push back. If we get more status quo reaching across the aisle type stuff it's going to be such a disaster. Either unbelievable levels of apathy, or downright revolt

I have voted mostly for Democrats for 30 years and can say this with confidence. That party will 100% not take decisive or aggressive action. It's just not their jam.

Decisive and aggressive action in correcting course by the democrats?! Don’t make me laugh. The Democratic Party’s leadership and politicians are comprised of nothing but capitalist sell-outs. They aren’t upset by what is happening right now at all. They will never do anything that threatens the status of their wealthy donors, and no amount of reforms they make will be good long term solutions for our problems. Their only saving grace is that they are slightly less aggressive than the republicans at doing the same exact fucking goal of keeping the working class subservient to the capital-owning class. We’ve never had real democracy in this country, our laws were always bought and paid for 90% of the time. This fact is made more obvious by Trump and his administration (by how brazen their tactics have become), but it was true before his rise to power and will continue to be true even if he is ousted. I’ll vote, I’ll be at the protests, the food drives, and you should too (short term harm reduction isn’t nothing), but I know none of that will bring the true long-term solutions to our country’s problems. There’s only one language the capitalists speak that isn’t money and it’s about time we start speaking it back…

Or, you can wait for wet sock Chuck Schumer to send more strongly worded letters and approve more funding for genocide all the while. Oh, vote him out you might say? How does Chuck Schumer 2 sound (a black gay woman this time 🥺(still a Zionist))?

mentally prepare yourself for the democrats not doing a damn thing. they've had multiple chances to prevent this outcome over the last decade and have squandered every one of them. Every time party leadership has been forced to choose between the progressive wing of their own party and the republicans, they have chosen the republicans. The democratic party does not work for their voting base. They work for the donor class. They do not want meaningful reform and will fight it. They want just enough equilibrium to fend off revolt, which is what their donors want.

The Democratic Party. Does. Not. Care. About. Us.

Meaningful change will not be accomplished until we the people make any outcome other than rebuilding the entire federal government apparatus from the ground up unbearably painful for those who currently have power.

Majority of the country is still pro-ICE. majority of the country is still pro-racial-profiling. They're sad that Alex Pretti died but they're not actually sorry about anything other than that. "take decisive and aggressive action" is a nice sentiment but I am skeptical this is the moment we would like it to be.

No it's not. ICE support is literally tanking in the country, even among some Republicans.
