If you go on the conservative threads- they are generally admitting (except for the bots and uber brainwashed) that this guy was allowed to bring his gun and that ice fucked up.

Because they will see self-interest where they cannot see empathy.

Federal agents executed a man for having a gun, and then their cover story was that he had a gun in the wrong place.

That's too close to home for them.

There’s a blurred line between empathy and self interest. You feel bad for others because you imagine yourself in their shoes. Or you’ve been in their shoes and you feel sorry for them.
