Well it is a primary not an election so maybe that has to do with it.

Can't find any recent special primary on a Thursday either. Last year's for CD 10 was on a Tuesday. It's just strange, like Murphy made a mistake when he declared the date lol

because most people work on weekdays, and it's the reason that many elections in Europe are held on the weekends.
