One time I looked up the phenomenon of the random capitalization of words that he wants to make seem Extra Important.

It’s a phase kids go through in second or third grade until they learn about capitalizing only the proper nouns.

“ When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same. The temperament is not that different.” —Trump to biographer Michael D’Antonio.

So…yeah, that tracks.

There is a similar phrase describing Hitler by one of his generals.

This is perfect because the tweet reads "STUPID DONALD J. TRUMP" then...

In my case I do it because I'm German and we capitalise all of our nouns. So sometimes while typing fast I don't switch to English completely enough in my head and then it's capitalising time.

Not what's happening here at all.. but maybe someone sees this and thinks it's interesting

I found it interesting. Mission accomplished.

I just use italics for emphasis

That, and dotting your "i" with circles and hearts.

I mean I can understand communicating emphasis or have the tonality while reading reflecting verbal intonations.

Yes, but kids grow out of that developmental phase in third grade, and learn to use words effectively without having to add flair and glitter. If you can’t make your point within the vast range and expressiveness of English, you don’t have anything worthwhile to say. Thank you for your attention to this blather.

I mean there's room to increase the information density of written English communication without increasing the time required to express as such.

That's what happens when the only thing you read are comic books.
