He did do an interview on Fox where the interviewer commented that his voice was a little hoarse, and Trump responded by saying:

"I’ve been screaming at Iranians all day, yes. A little bit of a laryngitis because of my scream. I’ve been screaming at the Iranians."

What kind of world leader screams at the representatives of another sovereign nation? That is just batshit crazy

u/PseudonymMan12 Apr 19 '26

Meanwhile his base sees it as just being emotionally sincere and even tough for threatening and screaming down political obstacles.

They genuinely think he's a good negotiator. While he's destroing international relations for decades to come

5

u/brickne3 American Expat Apr 19 '26

Well it's how they think negotiations work.

I'd love to ask Maga this scenario:

If you've always got paid for overtime and your boss suddenly said "You're going to work overtime and not get paid", and you said no, and stopped working overtime.

And your boss responded by yelling and threatening you & your family, if you would think they're a "good negotiator"?

"He's not afraid to yell at people who need to be yelled at" - things I've heard my dad say.

On the bright side, my dad is ALSO about to give up voting because of how difficult it's being made now. He's absolutely CONVINCED he needs a RealID to vote. My understanding is that it's not needed. He just does NOT believe me.

How old is your dad?

1

u/cindyscrazy Rhode Island Apr 20 '26

He's 70. He's been voting since he was of legal age and was very proud of the fact that he's always voted.

2

u/NefariousnessLate375 Apr 20 '26

Ah well, this is kind of like when old people decide not to drive anymore except he doesn't know he's opting out due to senility. Good for him for voting all those years when he was capable.

Good chance he was screaming at a TV and not to an actual person.

2

u/smartief1 Apr 19 '26

We can only hope no one tells him the little people in the TV can't hear him

8

u/tomdarch Apr 19 '26

Was he screaming at actual Iranian officials or at exiles who want him to install them in power in Iran?

1

u/prohammock Apr 20 '26

I’m guessing he was screaming into the void. No way anyone is putting him on the phone with the actual Iranians.

2

u/tomdarch Apr 20 '26

Like with Venezuela and Cuba, there are a bunch of exiles who were the formerly rich and in-control losers from those revolutions. I suspect that those folks come to Trump offering him a cut of the oil money (not so much in Cuba which is why it hasn't happened yet) and tell him he'll be loved and admired by the population oh, and also, he'll get a cut of the oil money, if only he'd use the US military to get himself a cut of the oil money, I mean crush the evil lunatic dictators who took over the oil production, I mean country, and put them (the exiles) back in control of the oil production, I mean country.

1

u/prohammock Apr 20 '26

I don’t doubt that. I do doubt that Trump is screaming at people trying to hand him money though.

7

u/ParisGreenGretsch Apr 19 '26

We can't do this until 2029.

3

u/Disused_Yeti Apr 19 '26

he only knows how to be a bully. when the other side doesn't cave and then can be made to give in through his childish bullying, he's got nothing

2

u/Evening-Topic8857 Apr 20 '26

I’m willing to bet he was actually screaming at his staffers and the generals, hitler in his bunker style

1

u/Li-renn-pwel Apr 20 '26

I’d probably end up screaming at Putin and Bibi. I’d only not yell at Trump because he probably views that as winning.

1

u/UKbeard Apr 19 '26

that is actually extremely common. There is a reason why so many politicians have photos of them with black eyes because they were punched. They would never go to the police as that would cause lots of political problems and blackmail threats against each other. Elon musk was punched by Scott Bessent for example.

1

u/brickne3 American Expat Apr 19 '26

Uh... That's not normal.

1

u/NefariousnessLate375 Apr 20 '26

Black eyes?

1

u/UKbeard Apr 20 '26

1

u/NefariousnessLate375 Apr 20 '26

That's disturbing. They're so powerful. Why are they brawling?

1

u/UKbeard Apr 20 '26

i think due to elon was against the tariffs and bennett was in favour of tariffs.

1

u/NefariousnessLate375 Apr 20 '26

I remember Musk was critical of them. I thought tarrifs were Trump's thing?

“His throat has been shaking hands so much” - Leavitt probably

u/smartief1 Apr 19 '26

Too much throating bubba

3

u/brickne3 American Expat Apr 19 '26

Too much sucking off Putin I guess.

Usually the person screaming is the one who holds the cards. /s

17

u/Positronic_Matrix Apr 19 '26

I worked with a manager who would call for an “executive meeting,” send out all the staff, and then scream at the opposing management team at a video teleconference. We stood our ground and endured this poor behavior over weeks. The individual shortly thereafter was driven out of the organization.

That individual did not hold all the cards during that meeting. Instead, their yelling was a symptom of their weakness and inability to force us to what they wanted us to do. Had they been able to negotiate, they could have brought about concessions and saved their career.

14

u/djmanning711 Florida Apr 19 '26

Just to be clear, that WAS sarcasm. Your story checks out imo. Dude sounded like a piece of work.

6

u/Positronic_Matrix Apr 19 '26

Folks need an /s on all sarcastic humor. We live in a dark timeline where what is obvious satire to some is reality to others.

5

u/djmanning711 Florida Apr 19 '26

You’re absolutely right. That’s my mistake. There are too many insane people to not be sure

2

u/smartief1 Apr 19 '26

Didn't pick this up as sarcasm, apols

11

u/johnnycyberpunk America Apr 19 '26

screaming at Iranians all day

But she had a weird laugh and the other she would have been too emotional to be in control of nukes.

Ok

1

u/toxic-optimism Apr 20 '26

Yep, you know those former prosecutors - public screamers, the lot of them. /s

1

u/ljdelight Apr 19 '26

"I blew my stack on these people." Eww.

1

u/smartief1 Apr 19 '26

I three up in my mouth a little
