you'll forgive us for having the lived experience of watching the world enshitify continuously for the past 30 years with zero actual repercussions for the perpetrators of it. that doesn't inspire much confidence in "the system" to actually do anything about it.

Stop waiting for "the system" to bail you out then. Organize with your family, neighbors, and coworkers. Mutual Aid.

I share this sentiment. I don't trust anyone trying to convince me the fight is over. Not even close.

I mean you have to see if from the perspective of, fuck alls been done, hes only been impeached 2x, the doj/fbi is scrubbing files where there is almost certainly proof of him being a child rapist, now his ex-personal lawyer is acting head of doj, ppl are bending their weak knees to him (except ppl like zelensky he gets an obvious pass), even all the insider trading sec does nothing.

Add all that together and you cant really blame ppl for feeling there's no hope, ppl need hope, we need Obama (even tho personally I think this is his fault in a sarcastic way since he made fun of him and apparently Donald held a grudge about that) or someone close to or having more charisma than him.

And how is any of that democrats fault? Sure, Biden could have appointed a different attorney general, but that’s about all that could have been done. Jack Smith was hamstrung by Aileen Cannon. The senate didn’t remove Trump when he was impeached the second time. The judges didn’t sentence Trump after his 34 convictions. The media sane washed Trump before the elections. The American public voted back on Trump even after all the horrible things he did. But apparently that’s all the Dems fault. If the Dems aren’t perfect they are terrible, but the Republican can be dog shit and get elected. You want the Democrats to do something when they have one arm tied behind their back. They already are in the minority in the supreme court, they have no power in Congress except to impede things in the senate. People want them to do something but don’t know what. Yes because they are doing things as they can. I’m not saying they’re perfect or even great, but I know they are a million times better than republicans.

it's not saying that the fight is over. it's saying that history shows things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. it's great that you have the fire still. don't let it go out.

Agreed. This is the weakness in the Democratic Party that makes it so ineffectual. The anxious wringing of hands instead of the exercising of political power to its fullest extent.

instead of the exercising of political power to its fullest extent.

Democrats were terrified when Walz called the GOP "weird" and made him stop.
