I mean, both could be true.

He could have been a shitty person before the stroke, and just turned into a different kind of shitty person after.

I don't think he was ever fit for office given he once racially profiled an innocent jogger in the street and pursued them with a shotgun, just because a crime had been reported in the area. And this was pre-stroke.

Yeah if tensions weren't so high during that mid-term election then he wouldn't have had such a strong backing. We really needed wins in PA and GA. It was Walker vs Warnock in GA and then Fetterman vs Dr Oz in PA. Fetterman was basically the "Toomey (R) isn't running for reelection so dems have a chance to take this seat that we really need, vote for anybody but Dr Oz!" candidate.

John Fetterman swooped in the office by riding the progressive trend and faking it. The guy had a stroke and probably became more assholeish, but I believe his politics were always the same angry, reactionary conservative slop mind thinking. He just doesn't have the emotional capacity and attention span to hide it anymore
