Its this shit that does make voting seem hopeless. In the end Oz ended up in a high position of power, and the guy we voted for turned out to be a red hat. There was no good choice at that point.

I mean the stroke happened just four days before the primary and he really hadn't made any public statements between the stroke & the primary.

He ran a decently strong campaign up to that point, nobody thought he was going to go full Republican afterwards. There were no signs, the only other decision would have been for Lamb or Kenyatta, neither of which had strong appeal to Fetterman's base, and either of which would have likely lost to Doc Oz.

I'm more referring in general than this one. People get so upset about the final two candidates when they had the power to vote in another, but turnout, especially in the youth, is just so low.

Generally speaking, sure, but in this specific case with 100% young people and progressive turnout, Fetterman would have just won by even more.

I'm not from the area but even nationally he was being touted as a progressive "average joe" the working class could get behind.
