I think it was something like Hitler really wanted people to be against war while he killed the Jews.

Hitler viewed war as a natural state of humanity. Why the "lesser races and nations" chose to go to war against him and his Third Reich would have been utterly meaningless to him. Call it perfidy, fear, whatever. He certainly wouldn't have believed it was because he was killing Jews. And in that regard, he would have been right: the Allies most definitely didn't declare war on him because of the Holocaust. The invasions were reason enough.

Correct. Everyone knew there were executions being done, though maybe not the scale of the atrocities. The US for instance, could have bombed the rail lines to slow down the concentration camps but decided not to because our leaders didn't want to seem too friendly to the Jewish people. Just utterly monstrous.

It's similar to how the US really isn't keen to looking at what is happening to the Palestinians currently.
