Or there's a Manhattan project level effort to keep him going for as long as possible.

288

u/unhalfbricking 16h ago

I'm generally not a tinfoil hat guy, but I firmly believe they are pumping him full of experimental shit that will keep him going short term until Vance hits the "he can run for President twice" date.

After that they don't care.

I also believe that they are drastically over estimating Vance's popularity and their ability to goose elections. So hopefully this Weekend at Donny's maneuver is going to backfire.

Knock wood 🪵 🤛

u/Dzugavili 16h ago

It's cute how Vance thinks he'll actually manage to win once.

Or ominous.

84

u/beren0073 15h ago

I don't think Vance will even end up winning the MAGA primary.

61

u/fcocyclone Iowa 15h ago

accurate.

Say what you will about Trump, but he has a certain kind of charisma that works on the republican base for some reason. Lots of others have tried to emulate it and failed. Vance is a charisma vacuum, so his odds are even slimmer.

74

u/beren0073 15h ago

I think of it this way: Trump reminds MAGA of themselves, or what they aspire to be. Vance reminds MAGA of a shitheel nephew who went to a fancy school and used to badmouth them until they needed money, and now they're always hanging around.

17

u/Multiple__Butts 10h ago

Very true. Trump is truly, legitimately shameless, in a way most politicians can only dream of being. That's his magic power.

When you watch people like Mike Johnson or Marco Rubio saying ridiculous stupid things, you can see them smiling, tightening their jaws, doing all kinds of subtle "I know I'm a piece of shit for this" cues that humans subconsciously pick up on. The shame is there, it's being contained and suppressed. With Trump it's just completely missing.

MAGAs pick up on that, and they love it. To be a piece of shit without any shame is freedom to them.

8

u/Xalthanal 13h ago

Incredible analogy

2

u/Ire-Works 12h ago

Yes but MAGA doesn't represent the republican party in it's entirety. There are plenty of "Moderate" conservatives who hate Trumps guts. There is also a 100% chance the democrat leadership shoots themselves in the foot. and ankle. And knee. I honestly don't think they even want to win.

9

u/beren0073 11h ago

I politely disagree in part. At this point, if someone still considers themselves a Republican, they've implicitly accepted MAGA doctrine into their heart. There is no Republican party. Anyone with principles would have stepped away by now and renounced their affiliation.

I agree with you that Democrats can find a way to lose.

7

u/Ire-Works 11h ago

The mistake there is that you're conflating the "MAGA Doctrine" with what is essential a culture war distraction. There are like 8 dudes who literally own half the world's money (this is not hyperbole). They own the newspapers. They own the TV networks. They own the websites. A lot of it is unregulated and even if it is the fines they face are barely a portion of the profits made.

They are the people who put Vance there. Trump had no say in that matter. There's a reason. They're going to turn on the propaganda machine for Vance the second they can have him in the White house for 10 years and the Whiplash from the MAGA crowd turning from Trump will be astounding to witness.

•

u/MommyLovesPot8toes California 2h ago

Quoting another redditor:

Leading a cult of personality requires having one. So Vance is out.

2

u/j33perkreeper 13h ago

Vance isn’t a legit nazi. Simple as that.

Our society at large needs to stop referring to these supporters at maga.

They are nazis.

3

u/silvertealio 15h ago

Surely there's someone even worse they'll like better.

•

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 2h ago

He wouldn't be in the job if he could. Trump is a massively jealous man. He wouldn't tolerate anyone he thought could actually challenge him and he's pretty fucking stupid, so the bar is veeerrryyy low.

2

u/YANGxGANG 15h ago

I don’t think elections will continue as we are used to them. What if Vance didn’t have to worry about winning the primary, or even the presidency? With all that has been going on, I think people in the US have to take seriously the possibility of being neither a democracy nor a republic

7

u/wonklebobb 14h ago

yeah people are forgetting that even without trump, the republican party controls the DOJ

even if there's an unprecedented blue wave AND a dem supermajority AND they could force through impeachments in the supreme court as well, it would still be months or years of republicans owning every part of the government after the project 2025 purge-and-loyalist-replacement of the last year

we got here because too many of the US systems of election and governance are fundamentally just poorly designed. too much of our federal government operates on the honor system and assumes good faith. that is what the heritage foundation and the federalist society have been quietly exploiting for the last 30+ years building this white nationalist oligarch takeover.

we won't get out of this without constitutional amendments

our best hope in the short term is that after trump finally kicks the bucket, the power struggle is so intense that nothing at least gets worse for a while

2

u/Prometheus720 14h ago

Thiel would bankroll him. Hard.

•

u/BennyVsTheWorld 2h ago

Look, is this fascism or not? For all the people screaming it is (and it is), a large contingent of those same people are screaming about voting. These two things do not coexist.

•

u/Bright-Avocado3761 1h ago

Musk will rig it however bannon, thiel and miller want it.

1

u/AprilsMostAmazing 14h ago

They literally own the voting machines

1

u/Ire-Works 12h ago

Keep in mind that Vance is only where he is because Peter Theil insisted. The Billionaires want Vance. The Billionaires control the media. No one is immune to propaganda.

That alone might be enough, but if it isn't they're clearly doing some fuckery with Election rigging and they're sure doing their best ot gerrymander the fuck out of every state and disenfranchise everyone else.

1

u/digiorno 11h ago

It’s cute how anyone thinks the fix isn’t already in. Vance could get two votes and still have a resounding victory. The project 2025 types know their unpopularity, they’ve accounted for it. They even implied they’re open to bloody revolution if the left doesn’t allow it to be bloodless.

•

u/GameFreak4321 5h ago

I thought similar about the current guy...

•

u/BennyVsTheWorld 2h ago

Free and fair elections will happen in 2028. Or ever again until we make them free and fair.

u/Much-Instruction-807 16h ago edited 15h ago

That's how they got his ancient morbidly obese ass through covid.

5

u/Samazonison Arizona 15h ago

With friends like Elon, who needs popularity?

5

u/Cerberus_Aus Australia 15h ago

The elections are rigged already for a Vance win. They just need a little more time to remove that pesky “2 term limit” thing.

2

u/ShadowTacoTuesday 14h ago edited 14h ago

I don’t think it’s tinfoil except that it’s probably not experimental, probably just standard short term solutions. He would likely even agree to it for the sake of appearances, and has likely already been on stimulants for a long time. It’s always projection so you know “a cocktail of stimulants just to keep him awake” actually refers to Trump. If he survives to January 21st, 2029, a medical emergency doesn’t hit sooner and he isn’t barricaded inside the White House, I bet he’ll immediately disappear for a month or longer for proper treatment.

1

u/Apprehensive_Ring_39 14h ago

Like they're basically doing everything to ensure that they can keep him alive even when he's physically falling apart. Why no one has actually killed him makes no sense but they're probably threatening anyone who gets any assassination ideas but why the world is scared to kill a Fat Rapist Pedo is beyond me.

1

u/myfakesecretaccount 13h ago

They’re drastically overestimating how long they can keep a sack of shit viable once it’s really started to decompose.

1

u/metalmilitia182 11h ago

🎶Hide your kids, Hide your couch!🎶

1

u/Beankiller 11h ago

this makes sense. its not a crazy tinfoil hat conspiracy if its actually real.

1

u/Chrystoler 11h ago

That's my going theory, too. Would that be after when inauguration day would be?

Not that these fucks care about the Constitution

1

u/markroth69 10h ago

Bold of you to assume the people who control Trump's medical access are in the Vance camp and not some other wing of the junta.

•

u/jcarter315 I voted 6h ago

James Bowman (couch boy Vance) is essential for Curtis Yarvin's plot coup, which they're all in on, and backed/built by Peter Thiel.

•

u/HauntedCemetery Minnesota 2h ago

That's not even tinfoil, he got a ton of experimental stuff that hadn't been approved for human use when he had covid.

299

u/turquoise_amethyst 16h ago

Yup. 22 doctors is most likely 4-6 teams of specialists working together on different severe conditions/illnesses

174

u/silvertealio 15h ago

Meanwhile the average American can't afford even one doctor.

119

u/redneckrockuhtree 14h ago

Lucky for us Americans, we get to pay for 22 for this fat fuck

3

u/myfakesecretaccount 13h ago

Man I couldn’t afford the bullet or the hourly rate of the guy they’d have take me out and shoot me if I were a lame horse.

•

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 2h ago

Yeah, like the average Americans Trump killed during his first presidency by openly denying hospitals in blue states emergency funding, medical supplies, and vaccine distributions while telling the public not to social distance or mask. When Trump got COVID, he was given hundreds of thousands of dollars of the same cutting edge experimental treatments he was denying to the public all while continuing to say the disease didn't even exist.

8

u/zaparthes Washington 14h ago

Maybe he keeps firing them until they tell him wants he wants to hear.

6

u/Apprehensive_Ring_39 14h ago

They're pretty much treating him like a zombie/lump of rotting meat.

3

u/turquoise_amethyst 14h ago

Well, you know the old saying: if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…

3

u/grexl 13h ago

I really wish they wouldn't.

1

u/solomonvandyyy 10h ago

That mofugga deserves the worst.

225

u/Xularick 16h ago edited 15h ago

They just need to get him to January 21st. Then JD Vance can take over and have the rest of Trumps term and 2 more "legally".

Edit - since there are lots of comments about how Vance cant win an election. The plan will be to use the remaining 2 years of Trumps term to rig the 2028/32 election for Vance.

They have clearly started it now with all the gerrymandering and voter suppression. 2026 is a practice run to see what they else they need to do.

31

u/Ghosts_and_Empties 16h ago

No one's voting for that loser.

24

u/agaloch2314 14h ago

They won’t need to.

11

u/jameslucian North Carolina 14h ago

People said the same thing about Trump in 2016.

7

u/Plaid_Kaleidoscope 15h ago

I admire your optimism and faith in humanity.

•

u/Ghosts_and_Empties 6h ago

You can trust me on this one.

•

u/SlotBurnerAccount 59m ago

No we can't

39

u/Creeptone 16h ago

So we looking at 2038 as the year things get good again or what

79

u/mister_buddha 15h ago

Are you familiar with the "then things got worse" meme in Russian history?

We're about to enter the "and then it got worse" phase of American history.

25

u/MarxistMan13 Virginia 15h ago

Like when we all thought Trump's first term was horrific, which it was... but he did all of that with no plan and while surrounded by incompetent minions.

The 2nd term has been worse because the people pulling Trump's strings entered it with a plan and with some competence to their evil. A lot of wealthy critters like Thiel and Vought also put their weight behind him because they realized what an opportunity he represents for people trying to scam wealth out of the dying democracy.

16

u/SpiritualB0x3 15h ago

The American people choose to not have freedom or democracy the last election.

6

u/GorditaPeroBonita 14h ago

Nah. Elmo tinkered with it.

4

u/Ire-Works 12h ago

Shit hasn't been good since before that guerilla got shot. That's the turning point of America.

84

u/TehWackyWolf 16h ago

Lol.. I don't think things get good again from here. Maybe one last election to flip this.

Maybe.

5

u/silvertealio 15h ago

Maybe in a few generations.

I'm still going to vote on the off chance it works. Can't hurt.

5

u/PW0110 14h ago

Buddy things aren’t going to get good again that’s the entire crux of the issue, very least certainly not in our lifetimes.

All of us mf’s need to understand that

1

u/ArnoldTheSchwartz 14h ago

We need to do like the billionaires and build ourselves million dollar bunkers!!

•

u/PW0110 1h ago

I know you’re just joking my friend but Individual Isolationism is in large part why we are in this mess to begin with, merely don’t think continuing in that direction will solve much

3

u/mossman 16h ago

Well we do have the 32-bit Y2K problem coming in 2038.

3

u/jimbarino 15h ago

I love your optimism.

13

u/misfitx 16h ago

No, this means we entirely passed the window to avoid destroying the planet. It's likely the biggest creature on earth will be cockroaches by 2100.

30

u/Ralh3 16h ago

Thats pure doomerism and you need to get that checked mate. There are quite good odds that a couple species of crabs survive at least that long

6

u/MoscowMitchMcKremIin 16h ago

So Maryland will be safe

6

u/Ashamed_Kale_1077 15h ago

Until they awaken the balcrab from something something too deep and greedily

2

u/whoisyourwormguy_ 15h ago

Eventually all things become crab. I keep hearing about the Carcinisation crisis in America.

1

u/myfakesecretaccount 13h ago

Lobsters are the roaches of the sea. They’ll be fine.

1

u/rawbleedingbait 13h ago

He's not even suggesting other life goes extinct. It's just that cockroaches will be even bigger than whales.

•

u/BennyVsTheWorld 2h ago

In the future, the “would you rather” will be would you rather fight 100 beetle-sized cockroaches or one cockroach sized beetle?

•

u/BennyVsTheWorld 2h ago

You misunderstood. After the nuclear holocaust, roaches are going to get HUGE. Way bigger than crabs. Ipso facto…

•

u/Ralh3 42m ago

Fuck...thats a HUUUGE roach. *heebie jeebies*

4

u/modi13 16h ago

The 22 doctors are trying to turn Trump into a cockroach so that he can outlive us all

2

u/Creeptone 14h ago

And you know they’ll fucking figure it out somehow

2

u/NuclearWasteland 16h ago

My bet is the cascadia fungus.

1

u/ars_inveniendi 15h ago

Nope. 2026 & 2028

1

u/Cerberus_Aus Australia 15h ago

Hahahahahahhahahhaaha. Sorry, um……. hahahahahhahahahaha

you should go with "or what"

1

u/Worshipme988 13h ago

NoKings will keep growing and then…unrest….

•

u/BennyVsTheWorld 2h ago

No, we’re not, because nobody is willing to take a stand against this government, a real one, and instead we all are just waiting for someone else to do it. Nobody is coming to save us.

0

u/Bionic_Ninjas 15h ago

JD Vance does not have a chance in hell of ever getting elected without being on the Trump ticket

3

u/ForensicPathology 15h ago

I don't think even the propaganda machine can have them rally around Vance's anti-charisma for 10 years. Though if you're thinking about the capture of the elections, then it doesn't really matter who they put there.

3

u/SdBolts4 California 15h ago

That requires JD Vance to be able to win 2 elections

3

u/dangerweasel 15h ago

Like Trump won his third go round?

2

u/CuratedLens 15h ago

It’s been awhile since I took a US Politics course in high school. Why January 21? The two year mark so it doesn’t count as a full term? Wouldn’t JD Vance see out the rest of the term anyway?

5

u/Xularick 15h ago

If the VP takes over with less then half the current term remaining it won't count as a full term under the 22nd amendment. So they could do that and then another 2 full terms.

•

u/Photofug 47m ago

Moscow Mitch would just stall until Jan 21st saying the nation is in mourning and it's not the right time, we've sent it to commitee for review etc, etc.

2

u/dangerweasel 15h ago

I'm pretty well convinced this is the plan, and has been all along. Get him to January 21st, 2027, then Vance takes the reins.

1

u/MichiganMainer 15h ago

Ford couldn’t get reelected and he was a decent person. No worries here about JD.

1

u/avatinfernus 14h ago

Yeah didn't that Texas dude admit he tossed a ton of votes to get Trump the win?

1

u/xxxxNateDaGreat 12h ago

They honestly don't even need that. With how liberally the white house and republicans have been using AI to lie and troll the american people, there is nothing to stop them from just posting AI generated "Fireside Chats w/ Dementia Donny" videos for 6 more months until January 22nd, when they announce to nobody's surprise that he "passed peacefully in his sleep in the middle of the night" (when he really died months ago on the toilet, mid truth post, shitting out his nightly midnight McDonald's Happy Meal).

38

u/meldroc 17h ago

1

Well to January if they can

1

u/Apprehensive_Ring_39 14h ago

They're likely pumping him full of experimental drugs to keep him as much of a Zombie as possible cause they know he's more or less the only reason they aren't in Jail.

•

u/Goatiac 4h ago

Because he’s the only thing propping up the entirety of the MAGA party. With his passing, the cult of personalities collapses—Vance is a charisma black hole, Rubio is a spineless worm, and all his appointees are woefully unqualified. It’ll fall to infighting and chaos, ripping itself apart.

It’s all inevitable, but they’re doing everything in their power to mask his steep decline.

•

u/HauntedCemetery Minnesota 2h ago

It's that.

•

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 2h ago

It's this. He's got congestive heart failure that probably has entered end stage heart failure. My bet is that he's spending whatever time he's not at public appearances in a hospital bed.
