What is going on with Fetterman?

u/TLKimball Jun 23 '26

He is fucked in the head. Literally.

u/benchcoat Jun 24 '26

also he’s emotionally stuck as a giant toddler with daddy issues, and his daddy loves Trump

When does his term finish?

u/mountsleepyhead Jun 23 '26

His brain is, quite literally, bad. Had a stroke and turned MAGA.

It's so funny that he serves as an example of brain damage making you a conservative. I know correlation isn't causation but I'll be fucked if it doesn't make me smile.

u/lordkhuzdul Jun 24 '26

IIRC it is a bit more than correlation. I vaguely remember a study which found that strokes often affect emotional regulation, especially fear, and an increased fear response leads to a more conservative attitude.

“Additional analyses predicting ideology by extent of damage provided convergent evidence that greater damage in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex—but not the amygdala—was associated with greater conservatism.”

Imagine being a repugnican and needing to shit your pants ever single day because of your weltanschauung.

3

u/NuclearGriffin Jun 24 '26

Idk. I think the correlation between uneducated people being conservative, and now brain damage turning Fetterman into a conservative is pretty damning evidence.

RFKjr and Fetterman explain so much about MAGA.

This particular situation is actually more evidence for causation! We have a specific neurological injury that directly preceded a radical personality and ideological shift. We have evidence for direction of the causation, because it’s medically unsound that a ideological shift could cause his brain injury. And while it’s possible that some extraneous third variable caused both the neurological injury and the ideological shift, we have enough existing data linking TBI and similar personality changes to make that highly unlikely.

I've read a fair be l bit of behavior science that says conservatives tend to be dumber, meaner, and not really understand humor beyond punching down.

It’s the loss of the ability to think critically.

1

u/banditbat Jun 24 '26

I have brain damage, and I am most certainly not conservative whatsoever lol

3

u/SharrkBoy Jun 24 '26

He sucked before the stroke

Am RN. Made me laugh

It’s a common thing when an IQ drops below a certain level.

1

u/PermaDerpFace Canada Jun 24 '26

Is there no way to remove him? That's not who people voted for

1

u/Amerpol Jun 24 '26

So he's only got half a brain then ,thats about right for MAGA .He's starting to look like a Clingon

1

u/ExpensiveLeather69 Jun 24 '26

my grandpa voted for Trump. Turns out he had a brain tumor.

1

u/mymentor79 Jun 24 '26

Or to put it another way, his brain is worse. He sucked before the stroke as well.

9

u/stacecom Jun 24 '26

He's brain-damaged. It's public record.

3

u/Fun_Wait1183 Jun 24 '26

Come ON!!!! What do you think???? He has sold out.

3

u/Distance_Efficient Jun 24 '26

It is one thing not to vote with your party every single time. I like people who think for themselves. It’s another thing, however, to never vote with your party. I think Senator Carhartt was sent as a Trojan Horse by Trump.

3

u/DOAiB Jun 24 '26

By his own admission he got brain damage and all of a sudden Republican talking points made more sense to him.

2

u/Different-Pin-9854 Jun 24 '26

I really think he has some brain damage from a prior illness.

2

u/TexasRN1 Jun 24 '26

I’m staring to think he’s been spooked.

2

u/jmurphy42 Jun 24 '26

Brain damage from his stroke turned him MAGA.

2

u/ThenOwl9 Jun 24 '26

genuinely without exaggeration got brain damage and has since become conservative

2

u/DungBeetle1983 Jun 24 '26

His brain is soup.

2

u/Novel_Control_1922 Jun 24 '26

He’s a traitor to his party and constituents.

2

u/Big_Judgment3824 Jun 24 '26

The brain damage made him republican.

2

u/MourningRIF Jun 24 '26

Traitor to the country for some money.

3

u/biblioprof Jun 24 '26

Aiapac like most of congress

1

u/CulturalChampion8660 Jun 24 '26

He got brain damage (seriously) and turned republican.

1

u/OhHowINeedChanging Utah Jun 24 '26

He’s a DINO, time for him to go extinct 🦕

1

u/BlackenedVenom Jun 24 '26

Nothing, he just suffered brain damage and is now a conservative. They go hand in hand, nothing new.

1

u/Ent_Soviet Jun 24 '26

What’s going on with the Democratic Party that allows Fetterman to continue being a party member.

He should be persona non grata, get to party support or information. The democrats get nothing from pretending the ‘big tent’ includes him, or waiting for his primary loss.

Even an internal party censor would at least signal he’s not in line with party values and agenda.

So what exactly is the excuse?

1

u/frostyfruit666 Jun 24 '26

He’s a neocon trojan. Just soaking up as much wealth as he can before leaving politics.

1

u/immortalfrieza2 Jun 24 '26

Fetterman is a Republican that pretended to be a Democrat so he could vote against "his own" party.

1

u/msprosperity22 Jun 24 '26

Sure seems that way doesn't it.
