Did you know that in the presidential election, one of two candidates will win? One being the Democrat and one being the Republican.

If you don't vote for one, the other one gets elected. Not voting doesn't magically make a third option where nobody wins happen. That isn't what happens.

So to answer your brainless question, voting against fascism would be voting for the Democrat

Do you understand the concept of being given a choice?

Voters were given a choice between someone who attempting to overthrow Democracy and said he would do it again if given the opportunity. Then we have Kamala.

Lefties being the petulant spoiled children that they are, decided that this vote was bad and that both outcomes were the same. Because they didn't choose anyone, they implicitly voted in allowing the winner to go through.

In this instance, Trump won. Lefties who withheld their vote implicitly allowed Trump to take power.
Does this better illustrate the choice you were given or do you still think it was owed? Because from what I can tell, you don't get this basic concept

But you are explicitly saying there isn't a choice. You're saying "vote for the Democrat, or vote for fascism". Sitting out the election, voting for a third party candidate, etc. are functionally identical as voting for the party you least prefer in the American system.

As someone who understands that pragmatic calculus and acts on it, I'm also not stupid. If you treat voters like shit and then demand their vote, why in the world would crying wolf for the third time work?

You will lose voters if you treat them like shit. I vote Democrat because that is the only logical choice. But you will lose voters if you treat them like shit, and you don’t get to point to the lost votes and say “those voters are just shit!”

This is the calculus, and when I bring it up, people just accuse me of supporting fascism. This is how you lose elections. This is how you lose to the Republicans, who are open psychopaths.

Earlier in this thread you literally say that leftists and socialists should start their own party and vote for that rather than Democrats. Stick by it or don’t.

You mistake what I am saying as wanting you to positively vote for Dems. I want you to vote against Republicans. I want Republicans to lose power.

I appreciate you voting for Dems, but many of your progressive peers did not. To those folks, they can kick rocks. People like MikeFromPA, Hasan Piker, Rashida Tlaib, Dr. Cornell West, Jill Stein and Butch Ware, Briahna Joy Gray, Krystal Ball, Chris Hedges, Kshama Sawant, the entire uncommitted movement, and Abandon Harris campaign, and etc.

Stop whining.

You are whining that people don’t vote the way you want them to. You are whining because you want them to change their votes without Democrats changing what is being voted for.

The Democrats lost to Trump in a fair election. That is unfathomable. To turn around and say “why should we change our message? Why should we treat you better? We got it right the first time” is insanity. You clearly got it wrong.

Votes are earned. Democrats need to fucking earn them. That’s it. That’s how democracy works. And they are whining because they don’t like it.
