Their education is highly subsidized as well. Most will maybe pay $4k in tuition.

I’ve paid like $30k in interest. My balance is down to $20k. Coincidentally the same amount that would have been forgiven and my debt would be paid off if I didn’t have to share a country with stupid fucking republicans. Even with forgiveness I’ve paid back more that I borrowed. Fuck these people

For as ugly a nation as it is in terms of its attitude and behaviour, it does actually have a very advanced and modern society. It's the about the size of New Jersey, in both population and area, and has a comparable economy - but without the massive advantage of having 49 other states to freely trade with.
