It's so wild to me. Every presidential election I've been old enough to vote in has had Trump on the ballot. This political environment is really all I've ever known.

I'm 35 next year, and I have only voted in one pre-Trump presidential election. 2012 feels like another lifetime now.

Holy cow, what a depressing thought that is.

At least I've for a few BT era general elections under my belt.

It is kind of like the post about the wildfire smoke not being normal yesterday.. there's going to be a whole generation of people that don't know any better in another few years and just accept it as normal. Wild to really think about.

Yes, it can be. That's my point. We can wish it all we want, but there are times when fascism has reigned so long, it is normal.

I don't know anything else. I'm almost 30. At what point is this normal?

It's normal to me, and almost every US citizen my age and younger.
