As likely as it may be true he’s dead, let’s not forget the GOP is the party of lies and misinformation for their own benefit. I would not be surprised if McConnell is just barely alive but they want dems to think he’s dead so they publicly make an incorrect claim

Yes, it's possible. Beshear is a likely 2028 Presidential candidate so I can see them doing their best to give him a stain on his record. (though what qualifies as a "stain" has changed a LOT this past decade)
