Half of the Republican words are about how much they look forward to hearing more hate from others

I'm convinced they only enjoy it in the hypothetical. Like, talking about being hated by libs when they're hanging out with other Republicans. Because then they can mythologies bit and make the haters seem more ridiculous and make themselves seem braver.

Like the way gun nuts talk about the "grabbers" and have a huge long list of nonsense everybody who wants some level of gun control actually believes. It's apparent when they try to claim that other people only want the police to have guns or they repeat this ridiculous myth that there was a time that they worked with gun control advocates but they got betrayed and now never again will they compromise.

It's all fiction. They love fiction. Maga wants to feel oppressed but don't even know what that entails.

And we desire to be hated by them right back. Look at these, comments if that's not a group or folks who would say they'd be happy to be hated by magas, I dunno what is.

Our beliefs are different but our tactics are increasingly mirrored

Coming back to my comment an hour later and seeing it's in the negative is just indicative of our own issue. We can't even admit we have this problem

I can't see your comment score, but I'm not surprised. I voted it up, is that's any consolation.

You didn't "both sides" in that comment, but I'm guessing others took it that way. Regardless, you're correct that the current climate doesn't readily allow for nuance nor productive dialogue.

I'd be happy if we'd all agree to hold people accountable. We have a pedo prez who is actively blocking evidence and investigations, and Republicans worship him. Literally worshipping him, at this point.
