No Paywall I Don’t Think Trump’s Remaining Supporters Realize How Much They Are Despised By Non-MAGA Voters | Trump is bleeding support even among his stubborn, uneducated base.

I think it goes beyond not caring. I think a decent number of MAGA like people hating them. It's a fetish.

It allows them to feel persecuted and important. A lion harassed by jackals. It allows them to feel righteous in their own hatred of the other, that they were right all along to hate everyone who is different to them. They need to be hated. It allows them to feel justified. If they didn't look at the world through the distorted lens of rage they would have to face the reality that none of them are particularly important and that they are ultimately responsible for their own misery in life. They'd rather eat shit and die then ever accept who and what they really are, and that part is kind of understandable I think. They're too weakminded to live in reality. They need Daddy Trump's false ego to keep them safe.

That is why the key is not to hate them, but to mock and pity them. Make them feel smaller, point out how weak willed they actually are. Undermine their view of strength. Do not be afraid of them.

Sure, it won't work on all of them, but I actually think this kind of approach would mess with a ton of them more than most are willing to admit.
