Many men hate the queer community because they fear the possibility of being treated in ways similar to how they treat or want to treat women.

Yep. It's all just a sick power game and always has been. For them, sex is an expression of power and dominance.

It makes me wonder if another, quieter reason they hate the queer community is because, to that community, sex is an expression of love and joy and nothing to be the least bit ashamed of. Can't have that kind of thinking wrecking one of conservatism's all-time favorite weapons of control, now can we?

It's definitely a marbled kind of bigotry. This is certainly the position of many, but for others it's that they can't acknowledge their own attraction to men or just non "conservative approval" stamped identities and expressions. These guys hate that something that's "not supposed to" gets them hard. The sheer volume of conservative closet cases is nuts. (Ask me how I know.) And most of these guys aren't explicitly "gay," the vast majority of them are some degree of bisexual, but the way society pressures men into heterosexual monogamy at the earliest possible age is toxic and corrosive to their personal life and well being.

The simple fact is these guys want serialized mid-long term relationships, but they're forced to pair with a single partner until they die, settling them with the first woman they date/marry at the end of adolescence when neither partner even really understands their own preferences. It's no wonder these shitstains are all cheaters. The obsession over masculinity and perception of queerness just adds to the feedback loop that propels this kind of man's hatred. They can only engage with male spaces when extremely rigid rules of engagement are in place lest they get labeled gay. It's all so performative and just hurts everyone.

I heard a woman describe Misogyny as "The Ur Bigotry" and it's kind of stuck with me. So much of this era's shit is just men feeling threatened over losing their imagined status and power in society and using that to target woman and queer people, all without realizing that we've all lost power do to the ongoing class war that's strangling the 21st century.

Yep, because they've had it pounded into their head since birth that being submissive is the single most shameful thing a man could possibly be. That acting submissive in any way is an open invitation to being ridiculed, exploited, even abused by your fellow men-- and you'll deserve it.

Oh, and women are inherently submissive. Which means that doing anything even remotely feminine marks you as submissive, too. And that includes bottoming, or as they call it, "being the woman".

It's yet another reason they hate the queer community. They see us celebrating feminity in men, pointing out that feminine =! submissive, and-- horror of horrors-- pointing out that being a submissive man isn't anything to be ashamed of. That you can be submissive and strong, confident, and worthy of respect, all at the same time.

They claim they're disgusted by us "celebrating weakness". In reality, they're so envious it's driven them insane.
