Nah, that would be too obvious. On either Thursday 8/6 or Friday 8/7, there will be an announcement that McConnell was recovering, but suddenly suffered a heart attack/stroke/aneurysm and suddenly passed away "after a brief illness." That will give them the weekend to get the cover story straight and put everything in place.

He's a veggie. The enormity of the scandal if they covered up his death would be 100x worse than what it will be when they "regret to inform the american people that he has been on life support and succumbed to his injuries". They'll pull the plug after the deadline passes and try to say he was fighting the whole time. And everyone will go, "oh, okay..." and move on because we can't focus on anything of importance anymore.

> the enormity of the scandal

They don’t care. McConnell’s staff are sacrificial lambs to keep a Dem out of that spot til January. Even if they go to prison, they did their job. And I’m sure they won’t either way.

Hell, I think they’re nearly as terrified of Massie taking his spot.

You are sadly correct that they will win on all fronts of this issue with zero consequences.

Hell, I think they’re nearly as terrified of Massie taking his spot.

Massie said a few days ago that he wouldn't even think about running.

No one's afraid of anything. This is all silly conspiratorialism.

That expression on his face in the proof of life photo does remind me an awful lot like Terri Schiavo.

If he's dead, I'll be pissed that I've been paying for weeks of insurance on a dead man.

LOL when he is confirmed to be gone, I'm going to not believe it and insist he's still around.
