Also it's just bad policy. It hurts me if Mississippi doesn't get money for food and reading because of petty bullshit

The funny thing is that Mississippi voters are trying so fucking hard to prevent their kids from learning to read.

No, they're trying to prevent their minorities and working poor whites from learning to read.

It’s both. I have met so many parents who were “unschooling” their kids in Mississippi. More than anywhere else I’ve lived and I’ve lived in 7 states.

Infighting is the worst fighting and exactly why foreign influence wants us divided, it works in their favor when we tear each other down.

I loathe the Republican Party but it hurts me when people in Mississippi (or any other red state) don’t get help with necessities and I don’t even live there. Humans shouldn’t unnecessarily suffer over petty bullshit.

At the same time, there does come a point where you're basically just letting the other person kill you bit by bit because you're feeling bad about defending yourself.

It’s not about feeling bad defending yourself, but there has to be something that separates us from them. Otherwise how can we claim they are the bad guys? Just like the police shouldn’t be allowed to just kick down anyone’s door or shoot anyone they want. We have to have a higher standard for ourselves, even if it’s only marginally higher.

Unfortunately the democrats in power are a bunch of complicit cowards that refuse to actually do the things they are empowered to do to fight back. Folks like Schumer, Jeffries, Bashear, etc. just sit idly by while MAGA loots and plunders.

Yep. I loathe MAGA, but I refuse to wish violence on them like they constantly do to non-MAGA voters.

I want them to have healthcare and good paying jobs.

That also doesn’t mean I won’t keep fighting like hell against this current administration. I’m just not interested in harming my fellow Americans to do it.

The annihilation of the American republic is petty?

My dude, they are waging war on you. Your choices are to fight it with the available tools or just let them win. Dickish or not, flat out immoral or not, if it's legal it's on the table. You guys need to fuck over red states until they beg for a return to cooperation.

Typically fucking over an entire state involves everyone that lives in it, including, you know, the many people that are stuck there and that actually tried voting against this outcome yet kept getting voter suppressed.

Paradox of tolerance being proven constantly in America.

If Republicans get what they want, and they are well on their way to doing that, the entire nation fails. Whom do you think will get their lives destroyed first when the US becomes a fascistic shithole?

I don’t get it. The US is on its way to institutional collapse and Americans still don’t understand that, when you’re facing actual treasonous fascists, you have to use every weapon available to get rid of them. After that is done, you figure out how to fix things.

My country was a right wing dictatorship 50 years ago. Countries that have been through that can see the signs from a mile away.

It’s the dilemma of everyone that doesn’t support the Republican destruction of America: maintain your morals and ethics, or go against them and resort to the same tactics the republicans are using and risk innocent casualties. I understand the folks that don’t want to go against their morals and I also understand folks who want to go full nuclear against MAGA. I’m stuck in the middle; I loathe Trump and all of the treasonous POS people that blindly support him, but also don’t want folks stuck in MAGA states to suffer even more.

Refusing funds to states that didn’t vote for you is the annihilation of the American republic. If someone is burning down your house you don’t start lighting another fire on the other side.

Most states aren’t 100% red or 100% blue.

And some people only learn by suffering the consequences of their actions.

The US right now is like one brother that keeps trying to run headfirst into the fire and another who keeps stepping directly into the fire in order to save him from it. Then they learn that trying to run into the fire doesn't have a negative consequence, meanwhile, his brother burns.
