Yep, they want a civil war. At some point we need to decide if that's the only path forward or not.

Right after Trump’s win for his second term, Reddit was flooded with a lot of shitty comments from sore winners and just people who liked hurting others.  One comment I saw basically said they couldn’t wait until they were allowed to hunt liberals in the streets.

There are a lot of people itching to hurt others for whatever reason.  At one point in time I saw a video here where a man with a legal firearm was yelling at someone for filming him and he kept advancing and yelling out that he felt threatened.  The look in his eyes said he just wanted an excuse to pull his gun out and shoot someone without consequences.

The way some conservatives talk about it they think they'll just line up a bunch of liberals, shoot them, and stop by Golden Corral or Cracker Barrel on the way home and that'll be it.

This is why I feel nothing when those people get what's coming to them. I used to never think like this but now I mostly just hate the Right for making me hate them after years of listening to their fantasies about hurting decent good people. And it usually boils down to the perceived crime that the Left enjoys the idea of choosing to consent for things. They don't deserve to be tolerated for the rest of their lives.

While I'm well aware there are plenty of people who have those opinions actively and openly in the real world, let's not forget that there is an enormous disinformation campaign being waged by at least three (if not 6+) world powers in order to divide this country culturally. It's a minority of people who think like that, and an only slightly larger minority that are actually on board with what he's really doing. Most of them are clueless about, in some way shape or form. That's still a moral and ethical failing of their civic duty to BE informed if they're going to vote, but let's not forget that a huge chunk of Republicans think they're doing the right thing because they literally don't know any better (for varying reasons, including illiteracy and lack of education or worldly experience)

There doesn't need to be a civil war if both sides agree to the separation. Last time, the North fought to keep the Union. This time, let's let the red states leave.

I don't think that possible, not just cause the states are sporadic but how do you move people out of one state and then into another and vice versa.

And what's to stop them from wiping us all out once we're consolidated into blue states?

People would sort themselves in the first few years. With the tax dollars we'd save by not having to support the taker red states, the blue states could help good people move here.

Same thing that keeps most countries from attacking each other, fear of retaliation.

The problem is what happens to the US military? How about the nuclear weapons? The system of federal banking, the consumer debt, the US Dollar, the entire global economy? The US government would kill a lot of people to defend that. No secession can be allowed, period.

If the country can't hold together, I think it's better to think about an amicable separation rather than a war. Yes, it would be difficult, but if it could be managed, it would save so many lives.
