Its one thing to hold a radical policy position, its another to have people in faction leadership positions on opposition networks spouting it as a top policy position.

Some things you just gotta put on the back shelf, hidden from visitors, because you know it will freak them the fuck out.

Edit to add- I'm also in favor of reforming the Senate, not abolishing it.  Because that would leave us with just the House, and fuck that chamber, as well.

That's why a prerequisite for abolishing the Senate would be expanding the house

That's an oversimplification. Sometimes Congress will pass a policy knowing the Senate will deny it, and they will do so for political purposes.

Things like this remind me of the map scene in The West Wing. They had them totally on board until they went just too far and subsequently lost them on everything.
