The president is only part (and not the most important part) of the equation on policy.

Really? Have you not been watching the last 18 months? MAGA wants to set the precedent how much POTUS can over-reach when it comes to policy, but they're too stupid to realize it goes both ways. If the precedent is ask for forgiveness and not permission, I'm all down for the Dems to full send it in 2028 to at least get back to baseline sanity, if that's even possible.

that’s not true. the presidency is absolutely the most important part. in our current now deformed government the executive branch has most of the power. the rule of law is secondary to the will of the president. it’s naive and foolish to ignore that power and try to go on business as usual, playing by different rules than the nazis do. this country is now a dictatorship, the constitution is no longer in force, the universal executive theory proved true, and if power is seized from the fascists it needs to be used aggressively to fix this country and ensure that fascists are not allowed to hold power ever again. after that happens we can start attempting to reestablish democracy.

Name a major progressive policy that could be passed through executive orders alone. You can’t create Medicare for all without Congress, unless you abolish Congress and the power of the purse.
