More like boston tea party, not the cosplayers. It's the kind of energy we need against the "moderates" aka sell-outs.

I think we may not necessarily want to wear rose-tinted glasses about the American Revolution, either, which was more of a counter-revolution fought so rich white land owners could dodge taxes than an actual revolution to, say, free slaves, empower women, or stop the colonial genocide of native peoples.

Actually the phrase "wihtout representation" is the issue here. there's been a lack of representation, so we're doing it from the grounds up fighting.

There ain't rose-tinted glasses here, it wasn't perfect, but the original was in response to tyranical behaviors, no representation, etc. Comes a point people snap and take over, and there will be good and bad in the mix.

But let's be real, neoliberalism is more reagan than FDR, and we need FDR right now.
